Back to playing this, got a little over my first year an deleted it cause I hated the farm so started new, now into summer in my second year an rushing to get things done, read online that grampa shrine works on a point based system, does anyone know if you can eventually light all 4 candles an get the statue or is it a once it's 3rd year you get whatever you get an that's it?

I've only got a walleye to catch which I think is fall an my community centre is done an my strawberrys in the greenhouse should cover the money, working on raising hearts as well an trying get the museum done

Can't get past floor 1 in skull cavern either, I badly need iridium

So obsessed with this game. I'm currently on year 3 of my 3rd play through.

My tips - hang on to a prismatic shard of you find one so you can get the galaxy sword. I always make sure my 1st one goes to that.
If you find a Dino egg, save and hatch it.

I’ve been playing on Steam for about a month again now. I played a little on my switch at lunchtime today but I’ve decided I prefer to play on Steam now.

I reeeeally wanted iridium but I hate the skull cavern lol, but I found this on the wiki and it’s SO helpful! The statue gives me so much iridium every day x

The new update is finally coming to Switch on 4th Nov! I've held off playing on my PC for so long because I prefer playing on console so I'm excited to finally get in on the action

I seen, but isn't it mainly for pc to help with the mods? I can't remember what's changing but I think one of the YT vids I seen on it spoke that it was mostly going to help out those that use mods on the game, am hoping there's more too it than that since it's only consoles am on

I believe that's what he initially said last year but from his tweet I'm hoping it means much more base game content! I have it on both PC and switch but I much prefer playing on switch so I never got into mods

Thanks guys I did the strawberries! And sadly yep have already lost a load of cauliflowers due to me not knowing how long the seasons were haha

What are some of the best ways to make money? I have cows and chickens for daily eggs and milk currently

Cheeeeeese. I think cheese is my favourite thing in the game. Great for a mining snack, decent money and if you have a few lovely moos easy to stock
I haven't played for a while but I have hundreds of hours in this game. Across my PS4 and my daughter's Switch. It's so chill, I love a good hibernate with Stardew

I'm surprised because I thought he wasn't doing anymore updates for Stardew!? This is great news though. I also prefer to play on switch cba with mods on my PC lol.
I can't wait for haunted chocolatier either! But I think it's going to be years before he's done with that

I HATE fishing. I find it so so difficult I just can’t do it

what are you playing on? I struggled so much fishing on my phone/iPad but find it so much easier on the switch. The person who makes the game is so nice and I get so much use from it that I don’t mind the fact that I think I’ve bought it 3 or 4 times now!

I’m poorly at the moment so I’ve just started a new farm, four corners this time even though I’m playing alone I want to divide everything up a bit.

I wish I had the creativity to get everything all nice like the photos I see of peoples farms but I just don’t, the same way I am on animal crossing too, just don’t have that brain!

this is the first time though that I’ve realised I can put a chest at the door of the mines if I want to go in and haven’t emptied my pockets at home, don’t know why I never thought of that before!

I always find fishing really easy, it's the mines which I found hard! First time I've ever gotten to the bottom of them I've attempted the skull caverns once and feel out of my depths again

Once you get the iridium rod with the tackle, it's so much easier!

I'm playing single player at four corners! Originally my husband was supposed to play but he doesn't have the attention span to play games like this. But I'm loving four corners! Makes it easier to divide everything. Plus you get your own little quarry in the bottom right!

That's good, fingers crossed it's more base game, so many focus on PC an forget about the base game when PC has so much already, I also wish they would hurry up with haunted chocolatier it feels like it's been years since they released that was coming

Ah Stardew is my all time favourite game! I go through phases of obsessively playing it Currently in Winter, Year 2 with my current farm, I married Elliot this time. It’s been a really lucky save for me - I had 4 prismatic shards by the end of Year 1! It’s also the first save I’ve managed to find a dinosaur egg and have dinosaurs on my farm. I’m going to try and go for 100% completion for the first time ever. I always get a bit overwhelmed after unlocking Ginger Island though.

I was thinking today about starting a new save as I feel like I got so far with it, couldn’t work ginger island out and just lost my mojo with it.

Thinking going back to basics and building my farm again and all the relationships from scratch would get me back on track. The new update would really help with that as would be good to have some new dialogue and festivals.

Me and my boyfriend are just impatiently waiting for Haunted Chocolatier. We started Stardew as a co op and had the best time spending our evenings creating our farm. He’s bailed on Stardew now so it’s just me toiling away in the fields (I did marry Sam once my boyfriend left though!)

I am on year 3 on my new farm from the update. The new farmland feels massive but I guess it doesn’t have much separating things like some of the others I’ve used. I still think Four Corners is my favourite though.

I also went Joja for the community centre for the first time ever! Much easier but I still felt a bit icky at myself!
