It really does! There is too much of this. It needs to be seriously examined.

They don’t seem to constitute these type of attacks as terror just plain old mass murder you’d think given the search history of these guys that it would change ? Scary he went as far as checking out certain premises"He was not charged with preparing terrorist attacks, which carries a potential life sentence, because targeting schoolchildren and misogynistic attacks are not considered "ideological" offences by prosecutors."
What are we to make of that?!
Oh it did not specifically state 'school children'
It's scary enough knowing there could be copycat attacks...but the building or space or people who could be victims may not be 'specifically stated'!
There is a massive undercurrent of misogyny with these attacks. They target events where the demographics will mostly be girls - Taylor Swift themed, the Ariana Grande concert, etc. It’s part of the massive issue we have with misogyny in this country that the powers that be don’t want to tackle. We really don’t know who/ what walks amongst us

Teenager pleads guilty after planning copycat of Southport killings
A 17-year-old admitted possessing extremist manuals after plotting a copycat attack inspired by the Southport killings and researching a Taylor Swift-themed event.news.sky.com
There was.a very near miss at a Lady Gaga show too. There is a massive undercurrent of misogyny with these attacks. I was reading about psychologists having to deal with unprecedented numbers of porn addicts ( all age groups) that along with SM doesn’t paint women in a good light, the female form seems to be there for ridicule/ dominance and we just let it happen. There is a massive undercurrent of misogyny with these attacks. I think it’s hard to separate the mental illness, the misogyny, the brainwashing and autism. It’s all linked. They’re mentally unwell people with misogynistic views and being brainwashed by extremist material online.
statistically there is nothing to say autistic people are more likely to commit crime than the general population.
Thank you for your intelligent post, but it does make me wonder about ND people before the advent of the online age - seemingly there were no massacres then.I think it’s hard to separate the mental illness, the misogyny, the brainwashing and autism. It’s all linked.
I have autistic kids and can see why autistic boys in particular are more likely to become totally isolated from society/social norms, and also why they might start living online and then fall into extremist ideologies like radical Islam or incel forums.
A lifetime of feeling different to your peers (and your peers rejecting you) plus a literal thinking brain that’s also quite socially naive, has the potential to result in a very angry and disenfranchised young person who seeks out like minded individuals online who will tell them what they want to hear (something along the lines of duck society for rejecting you, especially women, who are all whores anyway).
Of course autistic people aren’t more likely to commit crime, but I don’t think the likes of Rudakubana and Jake Davison (the perpetrator of the Plymouth shootings in 2021) would have done what they did if they were neurotypical.
They are the worst case scenarios of autism gone bad, with parents who never did enough to intervene or get them help… not that there is much help out there.
maybe my perspective is different as mine is a girl and presents very differently. Rule abiding to a fault in fact and such a strong sense of right and wrong that this would just never cross my mind as a possibility. Do you not think they have other mental illness at play though, is it really the autism that made them susceptible to such violent crime? is it more than that? Or is it a lot of poor parenting?I think it’s hard to separate the mental illness, the misogyny, the brainwashing and autism. It’s all linked.

In AR’s case poor parenting definitely played a pivotal role. Every adult in the household (including his adult brother) ignored the signs and almost tolerated his behaviour.Or is it a lot of poor parenting?
I've worked with autistic young people, and as with neurotypical children, a lot of boys get away with poor behaviour and low expectations as 'that's how boys are', with young girls (even those who are autistic themselves) often still expected to guide them into better behaviour (anyone else old enough to remember when they'd put a naughty boy next to a well-behaved girl? I know children of both genders who've been asked to stay in with male autistic students at break to keep them calm even now.)maybe my perspective is different as mine is a girl and presents very differently. I have one of each, both autistic (your daughter sounds a lot like mine!), and they present differently for sure. I think it boils down to male vs female socialisation, which counts for an awful lot.maybe my perspective is different as mine is a girl and presents very differently. There were plenty of red flags there makes you wonder how much interaction they had?Did his dad not look at his kid’s room and think something was amiss?
It really grates on me that the Union flag is hung incorrectly. I do understand that doing it thus way is a sign of distress. There were plenty of red flags there makes you wonder how much interaction they had?
Probably the latterIt really grates on me that the Union flag is hung incorrectly. I do understand that doing it thus way is a sign of distress.
I'd prefer to know if it's distress or stupidity.
