Southport Attacks and Aftermath #7

His dad is a liar. He said he was too frightened to confront him but he told other agencies that he didn’t want to becuase he was worried they'd lose benefits and also responded aggressively to school staff and police.
Even from reading his statement it’s clear he wasn’t interested in outside help until AR became totally unmanageable, attacking police , lying and putting pressure on outside agencies doesn’t read like a concerned parent 🙄

Sorry I meant the brother, those clippings above are abhorrent and I still believe the parents need to be prosecuted
Sorry I thought you meant the parents, yeah definitely more to them than innocent victims, his mum is due to be questioned today let’s see her take on things.

I do feel sympathy for the brother. Any sympathy I might have felt for the parents has vanished reading about them concealing things from CAHMS- anyone who’s ever had the misfortune of dealing with CAHMS will understand that actually getting them to do anything is a miracle!

So not exactly the credit to the community, tax contributing, economically valuable refugees we were lead to believe they were then?

The dad is admitting to finding a substance we now know was ricin under his son's bed, a jerrycan and hiding a machete... I wonder if he'll get done with hiding a crime or something similar. There's nothing innocent about having weird substances or machetes.

Both his parents worked. The two aren't mutually exclusive. You can have a job, be part of a community and still raise a horrible criminal.

Exactly this. Why aren’t the parents being prosecuted for this? In my eyes, they have committed a crime. Disgusting pigs

I’m not getting your stance that the parents are valuable members of the community. They knew exactly what was going on and therefore they are not valuable members of the community. 3 little girls died as a result of this disgusting family. Vermin

I’m not so sure! If your concern is so great why lie to those offering help?
His parents should be charged with accessory to the crimes Axel committed. Their behaviour has been appalling. As far as I know even the brother didn’t report him to any authorities. Horrendous family.

Yes, I don’t believe for a second that a military trained martial art instructor couldn’t overpower him and seek help…

I can’t believe what they’re admitting to the inquiry. This goes beyond naivety, or misguided parental protection. Their home life was a living hell, but he STILL obstructed any kind of attempt at intervention? Why? I don’t buy that he didn’t want his son to be taken away. Most parents would be looking for a way out of the situation they were in. Most parents would be looking to safeguard the clear risk their child presented to the public.

I just don’t understand it. I was also wondering whether Rudakubana Sr. could be prosecuted for this, although I’m not sure there’s a charge that could really be applied here.

Is the mother also going to be giving evidence?

I didn't say they were valuable, just that they would have paid tax because they worked. We saw the riots this incident caused, we can discuss this without the tropes and stereotypes that harm entire demographics.

Let's criticise this family for their actual actions, not as an archetype to fuel more hate towards people.

They seem to be playing the victim 🙄 I don’t believe they are, they’ve covered for this monster they knew exactly what he was capable of I believe there’s a lot more behind it.

She’s to give evidence later today apparently

Which is what I did. I didn’t have any other narrative? Sadly, broken families all over the country with parents who are beyond useless and kids being violently dragged up.

How the duck does a post on a gossip site harm an entire demographic? That is way over the top to say the least.
