In the love letter to herself… sorry book Scum describes when she first approached MG at a basketball game MG seemed rattled because she had just had interaction with her ex and that she now knows why she was rattled because it was a bad relationship. So I am assuming MG was in an emotionally abusive relationship and the bar has been set pretty low, this maybe “normal” for her 🤷‍♀️
