Yeah, the Q was "How is your new job going?" and she hesitated and said "It's... going." I know I always use that expression when I'm not happy. I don't know if she was tipsy (she said she came back from wine and sushi), but it was definitely a weird vibe re: work.

Nothing else really interesting. She sees herself living in Italy forever but maybe not always Florence, though she likes it. Someone asked if making friends was easy, she said yes but really just talked about the ease of "networking", which I don't consider making friends lol.

That’s a bit sussss what could possibly be going wrong? Of course we’ve noticed a dramatic decline of SR-related stories and posts on her IG.

I imaginne the situation with him either not paying any attention or mortifed at the embarassing American-ness of it (reminiscent of the 'customer is always right' steak scene in Emily in Paris) enjoying his dessert until he couldn't ignore the background noise any more

How did you manage to catch those vibes from him? Because I don't think I've seen enough of him on Sofie's channel/SM to get a feel for what he's like or what their relationship is like! Just that he seems a bit pretentious about food and drink from being a somm.

This is like her whole personality, and I think that's what lends her to going for conspiracy theories so much... if you believe in conspiracies, it makes you more "enlightened" than others, you know the truth, and as Sofie LOVES to (incorrectly) use - "IYKYK".

Based on what I’ve seen and his hobbies, he just seems like a snob.

And going back to Sofie. She never disclosed on her YT vlogs or directly in her stories+reels. I think at most she put "supplied by", but not that she's representing SR directly.

I thought that was weird. Also, really stupid bc of her evident contracts with Babbel and Davide, as well as her getting so upset when people pointed out she doesn't speak Italian.

She only seems to show interest in speaking Italian when she's doing an ad.
Try and fake it a little bit, since you're there on a study visa to learn the language...
I have a friend who is in Italy on the same visa, lives with her Italian boyfriend, and recently started doing daily TikToks practicing speaking the language and it shows how much she's progressed because she's trying. You don't learn if you don't try.

Even if he agreed to be in the video, I imagine Dario must be somewhat ashamed that his adult girlfriend doesn’t even know how to cook more than eggs after them living together, or that she uses a service like HF when it’s cheap and easy to get good ingredients in Italy. It’s not like here in the US where grocery stores are miles away and produce is hellishly expensive. And she doesn’t live like many Americans do working long, long days and where it’s exhausting to come home, meal plan, shop, and get food on the table. She just doesn’t have a lot of excuses other than laziness or a severe dislike for cooking.
I get it that not everyone *likes* cooking, but in my opinion, I don’t think I would take (especially food-centric) tours from someone who cooks from a box

Yeah, I think she said that (bc her contract is EU, iirc). I can't imagine her going back to her SR job. How many ADs has she done in the past few weeks? I'll admit she's actually good at it. The "our evening routine" was one big ad, but she's not robot-y like some others.

I caught Sofie's live. Someone asked her about her job and she doesn't seem thrilled with it. First she said she's glad none of her colleagues were connected, then she said she wishes she could divulge more. Interesting... I'm really curious now.

That work thinf is weird, I get the impression her job depends a lot on her social media presence which is why recently she has been complaining about lack of engagement on her youtube and asking what people want to see etc. Most people with a full time (presumably pretty well paid) job wouldn't be that bothered
