Well, she finally lets the cat out of the bag that she's not working anymore, her and her job "were on a different path" and she teases some big life change that she'll announce in the next video. Maybe it's related to her being a full time influencer, I'm hoping for something juicier.

Probably something about her new tours with Emilio. Or maybe they've bought a house.

How privileged she could decide she wasn't vibing with working a 9-5.

She only seems to show interest in speaking Italian when she's doing an ad.
Try and fake it a little bit, since you're there on a study visa to learn the language...
I have a friend who is in Italy on the same visa, lives with her Italian boyfriend, and recently started doing daily TikToks practicing speaking the language and it shows how much she's progressed because she's trying. You don't learn if you don't try.

Do you follow/know Almost Fiorentina? (Your comment about your friend on Tik Tok reminded me lol). What she explains here is everything Kacie doesn't do: learn the language, assimilate, enjoy living there etc. Sure she's been in Florence longer than KR, but the difference is notevole. Instead we see Kacie only speaking in English and making pepper and cream cheese sandwiches with a side of ranch dressing. Lol. I don't know why she rubs me the wrong way so much...but she does!

Sofie posted some stories speaking Italian and complaining about how buying a handful of things to cook for Kaia was $150. She laments “the consumerism” in America and the overwhelm of choice in products. Hello?? You used to spend hundreds of dollars at Whole Foods and showed your “hauls” on YouTube and you work (worked?) in marketing. Why are you complaining about the cost of groceries and consumerism when you don’t need to pinch pennies. Also, it’s not the fault of consumers that prices are high?
Lmao This is the kind of reasoning that leads people to vote for Trump because they don’t understand economics.

She clearly just wanted the chance to badmouth America in Italian so seem more “European”.

@moronglace I think the tours are new-ish from the past year or 2, at least from what I've seen in her stories--but don't quote me lol. I don't know why but they don't look appealing to me.

And she promotes her Rete 4 show every week in her stories (not sure why I click them all) though I've never watched. Maybe I should, I might change my mind about her.

And yeah, who knows re: the blocked person. Lauren says that person always left comments, which makes me extra curious.

Btw, I assume we should get ready for lots of Sofie crying about it being Xmas and she's not with her mother. And evidently not going to Rome or Calabria bc she said she can't travel (by train?). This was in her AMA I think from the other day. Just her and Emilio and starting new traditions. Lol

Same! I've been thinking this for a while. She worked mainly from home anyway. If someone covered the heavier stuff (like setting up events) I don't see why not. Though it seems to be a lot of mental stuff/anxiety as well.

Must be nice to go to get manis, to pilates, events etc and not worry about work or much else.

She took everything about her job out of her bio too. I wonder if after she gives birth she’s going to try and go full-time influencer.

She came right out on TikTok saying she's s single parent. Emilio is gone minimum 1 week at a time.

It's hard to feel for her when...newly renovated apartment, a mom that can fly across the Atlantic to babysit so she could go away in vacanza with friends (and Emilio), clearly isn't struggling financially yet seems to compare herself to other working mothers (despite her saying she knows setting her own hours is easier. Duh).

I find it baffling that Sofie can have such cognitive dissonance about social media... believing "it's ruining our kids/society/etc" and yet that is her entire job?
Wonder if she knows how Candace Owens recently mocked a model in a wheelchair who was featured in an ad for a line of adaptive clothing (for people with disabilities) saying it was ridiculous and that "inclusivity has gone too far". Simply for a person in a wheelchair being in an ad... for clothing made for people who also happen to be in wheelchairs.

How she can follow anyone so repugnant and hateful is beyond me.

I thought that Sofie was one of the better ones for a long time, but clearly there’s a reason why she’s one of the few European friends Zoey still has.

Another tragic shooting in America and she has to do the thing where people say “why can’t we just love each other”… but make it Audrey.

Love is great but this kind of message is just trying to put a bandaid over the real problem. Better to just not post anything, I would think. I know, damned if you do, damned if you don’t… but posting this kind of stuff just comes off a naïve.

Do any real, non-work related friendships exist with social media types? I see Sofie is having coffee with a woman who does brand strategy for that EspressOh brand Sofie showcases, and not coincidentally, this person writes for several beauty publications. I know this is not shocking, but everything on the socials is just a loop of fakery and "in it to win it" mentality. If you didn't know what this Jenna person does for a living, one might think "oh, a caffe with un'amica." Which reminds me, I used to enjoy her "caffe con..." vlogs with her niece and nephew.

Yeah, when I saw the hat with EspressOh I knew and in the blog she posted today she talks about how she used to work “too much” in the States and now in Italy she can take things easy… well, good for you! A lot of people don’t have that luxury.
