It's funny, the journalist Selvaggia Lucarelli Is really hammering influencers, their miniscule #gifted or #supplied declarations and the fuzzy area of taxes. Sofie's latest shampoo gift made me think of this. Teeny tiny, top right.

People who do this have to realize what they’re doing is shady, right?

I’ve never really understood the point of trying to hide that something is an ad, gifted or supplied. Either they think they look like sellout, don’t look genuine or are embarrassed about the situation.

I remember once she posted about a tomatoes pasta sauce her partner makes that is amazing " I'm going to try and make it" it was literally just chopped up tomatoes cooked and she was acting as if she was making some kind of Masterchef meal

Sofie and Zoey (separately) did Instagram tours in Rome through Airbnb back in the day, but I bet this would be with Kacie or someone else - remember Tess, that friend of Kylie who was running her own tours called Clam Tours (really unappealing name if you ask me)?

I think we'll be seeing more of these things. It seems to have become really popular for travel companies or tour operators to add in an "Influencer" or YouTube personality which seems like win-win for everyone involved. The tours get much more publicity and bookings, the influencers get paid and get to hang out "on vacation" and the travelers are happy to meet their favorite social media personality, I guess.

Whatever happened to that other American woman in Rome-- Abbie? I think her name was. She worked with Devour tours or similar and knew Sofie. She appeared in Lucrezia's (of Learn Italian With...) sometimes. But I haven't seen posts from her in ages.

Given Kacie’s recent announcement about her Amalfi Coast tour, it’s kinda obvious that Sofie must be planning to get involved.
Again I must say: Amalfi Coast? As a tour destination?
Groundbreaking.

Yeah, that's why I was wondering. It seemed to me she's thinking of joining Kacie or doing tandem tours.

Last year I remember the people on the tours were almost all very young (early 20s) and female. There are actual certified guides employed and Kacie just kind of hangs out with them and eats/drinks.

I wish "influencers" like this had social media posts prior to becoming like this so we can see what she was like when she was in the US.

Have you seen these older hashtags? Antifeminism? Lol. . Or this caption about prayer? Or her career? Lol. If she didn't splash her Catholicism and tags all over I'd have assumed she was in some fanatical Mormon offshoot.

How much does Sofie earn from social media? She just did a haul on IG and her sweatpants alone cost €178. The jeans were all around €200 apart from the Levis. That's after her Cult Beauty haul, where I also shop when feeling spendy. She got a bunch of Westman Atelier items.

I guess I made life mistakes since if I quit a job and was gutting an entire house I wouldn't be constantly shopping.

Also, I'm really wondering about her and Emilio. The other day was the umpteenth time she was teary about being "a single mom"/alone bc Emilio is away again for work.

80% of that stuff is getting returned. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an undisclosed #gifted in there either.

I find this new "trend" of pouring anything directly on the skin weird. Lol. I noticed this too. And I actually thought of you when she mentioned Vinted bc I think you noted this when she was packing to move? She was selling a bunch of things.

And to be petty, I clocked her AGolde jeans she has been wearing that sell for 300€ . It was from some story in the lift. Re: her buying lots of stuff.

It's so creepy, then at the same time she seems to be often talking about negative things about Italy like the motorbike key thing.
