Life choices? I mean, many people in the US don't have their family near. Hours of flights. If you want the free babysitter and hand holding, do something about it. Doesn't her mother have dual citizenship and works for her husband's business? Maybe I sound cold, but she's in a much easier position than the majority of people--and that includes her own little supposed job.

Haha, you beat me to it! @moronglace Hello Fresh is such a predatory company, to boot. I found it really pathetic, too, at this point to hawk a company that is so 5 years ago (as in they've contacted just about anyone with a fairly large social media following).

You nailed everything else embarrassing about Kacie and her lack of cooking. Also, I felt embarrassed FOR Dario lol.

For a 30 year old she's one of the most helpless and least adult I've seen.

I don't think I could ever casually drop 3 months' worth of rent on a handbag, and that's the difference between her and me.
But she didn't even pay FULL PRICE, guys! That bag was a steal! 🤣🤣🤣

@emm I'm also curious re: SR. Also bc she posted her work with them at Rinascente, which she had stopped doing. I wonder if they were having a job title+responsibilities quibble.

The “preservativi” story seems pretty made up to me. Like something you’d only remember happening if the Italians corrected you in the moment and said “oh, that means condoms”.

I was curious about the Parlour’s prices but they don’t even have that on their website.
I guess if you have to ask the price, it means you can’t afford it!
---
Ah, the article says their services start at €35.
That’s not bad, depending on what it is. I wouldn’t mind going there once for the experience!
(But not because Sofie goes there)
No, it's not bad, I assume a mani! I just don't like the usual suspects involved. Lol. Or maybe I don't usually like the types of people who come to Italy (usually Florence, if not Rome) magically start working in the luxury circle after a few weeks, then just buy a random building and poof! A business mainly geared toward fellow expats rather Italians. Sofie's fallen in the circle and won't get out now. It's only going to be promoting others' businesses or places that gift her stays etc. Zzzzzzz.

The restaurant has been liking all of the comments her fans have been leaving lol
---
Another fan wants The Florentine to do an interview with Kacie about her experience at the restaurant. These people need to stop.
---
One of the few sane comments regarding Kacie clearly embellishing the story. Let’s be honest - things probably got a little heated, she got confused about what to order beforehand and then her boyfriend was offered a wine cellar tour as an apology, which I’m guessing costs more than a price of cake. She was frustrated so she stepped outside and cried about the interaction, which is normal when there’s a heated change and you’re disappointed.
Hilarious people are tagglimg the Michelin guide 🤣 kacies fans are hilariously naive

Sofie seemed elated about having a girl. I’m jealous because she’s clearly someone who always gets what they want lol
---

Yeah, they should have just done a typical reveal and cut a cake. This was too obvious an attempt at trying to be different.
Yeah, you're right. I hadn't really thought of it, but she does always get everything lol.

Do any real, non-work related friendships exist with social media types? I see Sofie is having coffee with a woman who does brand strategy for that EspressOh brand Sofie showcases, and not coincidentally, this person writes for several beauty publications. I know this is not shocking, but everything on the socials is just a loop of fakery and "in it to win it" mentality. If you didn't know what this Jenna person does for a living, one might think "oh, a caffe with un'amica." Which reminds me, I used to enjoy her "caffe con..." vlogs with her niece and nephew.

They are all just so shameless it is embarrassing, I hate when influencers say " a lot of you have been asking" we all know no one asked
Has she ever mentioned what kind of visa she is on? Obviously sofie has a European passport, but I know how difficult it is to get a visa to stay there without being in school/married to an Italian. All the Americans I met in Italy were either studying or working illegally 😅
Then Sofie posts: “for those of you asking about my necklace, here is a convenient affiliate code!!”
---

From how her Italian doesn't seem to be progressing it seems that she rarely goes to class
I need to see more of how her Italian isn’t progressing 🤭
---

Did anyone see Kacie Rose @Maybelline in her latest Stories? This is so cringe. It's like she heard how much L'Oreal (parent company) pays Influencers for a sponsored post (around $150-200k) and is now angling for her own sponsorship. 🙈 It's extra weird because it comes right when people are talking about "mascaragate" with that Tik Tokers undisclosed #ad and use of false lashes lol.
That mascara looks hella spidery.
When I first heard about mascara-gate and the discourse about influencers disclosing sponsorships I immediately thought about Sofie and her SR posts.

She posted a mini birth vlog on insta. I wonder if she went into it planning to record all this to share publicly or if she decided to do so at the hospital when she realized the baby was taking her time so it was a way to kill time
I do love the contrast to Kylie's depiction of medieval times. Makes me think even more it was due to K's stank ass attitude and not following Dr's orders.

Of course Sofie celebrated her birthday at Locale. Drinks are pricey for Italy (most Americans probably wouldn't blink since they're standard, especially in bigger cities) but mainly they have the strictest doormen who are ageist, fatphobic and racist.

I wonder if she paid for Kacie and Danae or they celebrated American style where they paid for their share lol.
And kacie mentioning "treating themselves" when it was very clearly gifted

Yes @emm and recently Babbel. 😂

Back to Sofie, I assume her mother remarried very well.

I was excited she was moving to Florence, since I lived there and love it. But her content is just very blah lately, IMO. As you noted earlier, maybe the brand influence?
yeah I agree, like you said I liked her xmas video in Calabria as I like the italian content, her skincare routine, eating in her flat etc... I could watch anyone doing that.

Um, does she not know the polite form or congiuntivo? She's mad bc she's called out for being poorly mannered, and it's not a "Puglia thing." I noticed she's rather grezza in general.

She's way too thin skinned for being an "Influencer."
In all her videos about "how to order at the xyz in Italy", she NEVER uses the polite form. It's always mi dai or mi daresti - which admittedly is more polite than "mi dai", but even if people will argue that dare del Lei is dying out, it's still a part of the language and I believe in using it with strangers.
She gets so bent out of shape over little comments and deletes anything negative unless she can make a TikTok response to it to prove how much more she knows about the culture than us.

I just went to double check, and most of her youtube shorts also have 0 views 🤣 where is this alleged endless criticism coming from? In her dms?
Yeah, I don't know why she bothers at this point uploading to Youtube. The comment came from a TikTok where she was showing how she orders from the butcher. She will then post these videos to YouTube shorts where she gets very few views, a comment or two if she's lucky. What gets me is posting these responses to TikTok comments on Youtube without much (if any) context.
Gotta show up the haters, I guess.

I thought it was odd that she didn’t mention that until near the end of the video. I guess it explains why it seems like she hasn’t been working or doing much.

Maybe she has a nutritional deficiency or there was something developmentally wrong with the fetus. It could be her thyroid problem she mentioned too.
---
I saw in the comments her mom called the baby “Baby X”.

A name starting with an X, I’m assuming, is really interesting.
It’s probably just her mom trying to keep the name secret

How do you know about the papiro @moronglace ? I'm going to take a wild guess and say your boyfriend from Veneto?
Yes and I attended one in Bologna as well as studied there. Unfortunately left before I finished my program so I never got to have my own papiro. And I’m totally ok with that.
---
What is the papiro? Like the justification of the tesi?
I think people are just becoming bored of her content, just endless holidays, especially at the moment when most people are financially struggling. I also think her complaining people weren't watching her content turned even more people off, no one owes anyone youtube views. I unsubscribed to someone else recently for doing the same
The last several videos have all been the same, a day in the life… okay, but your main draw is that you live (once again) in Italy and you’re not really giving us that content when you just make quinoa bowls and clean out your closets.

Oliveoilmommy’s brand is about the oil being from the island with the world’s “longest living men”. Why are just men the focus there?
