Absolutely. I remember when Jack first came on the scene probably a decade ago and, as someone who was raised in actual poverty, the fact that someone would choose to give up a £30k+ job and then claim to be a leading light in living on the breadline despite being from an obviously middle class family, it just fucking enraged me.

Like I don't think Sofie can have it both ways. They're always getting into these super nuanced discussions about microaggressions and being very particular about it, and other times saying 'I don't really care about X thing (eating meat, killing spiders, the environment) so deal with it, this isn't a safe space'.

A lot of her "humour" seems to be being unkind to people (specifically or a general "everyone else sucks I'm so special" way. On Bad People she often "jokes" about how little she likes her copresenter. It's not funny and also quite arrogant.

All this pontificating and agonising about what to post or not post can’t be good for her mental health.

I know it’s not always that straight forward but in some cases I genuinely believe not having much to do day to day can be really bad for anxiety, because you’re left with your own thoughts and have so much time to think everything over to the point it causes a bit of a spiral. I’m not saying everyone should be constantly non stop 24/7 because that’s also unhealthy, but having all the time in the world day to day without many distractions can cause anxiety to get worse. It’s a shame she doesn’t channel that nervous energy into going on a long walk with Hank or something.

Totally agree, I was in furlough for over a year and while at first paid for nothing was great eventually it took an awful toll on my mental health.

I don’t get it, is she saying she is now going to talk about exercising like she has criticised other people for? She is SUCH a hypocrite and so needlessly judgemental of others

Doesn’t Sophie always go on about listening to lived experience but I suppose it must only be the ‘right’ lived experience that fit in with their woke Olympics. Yeah I 100% do not believe there have been proper walks this whole time. With how much Sofie posts on social media, and all the Hank updates, she really wants us to believe there wouldn’t have been multiple stories about each walk ... or “walk attempts” since they always seem to get cut short.
I think when they say “I don’t leave the house EXCEPT FOR DOG WALKS OBVIOUSLY” she’s really meaning letting Hank out in the back garden, not actual walks.

I’ve not owned dogs so correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this a situation that the longer Hank goes on like this, not being properly acclimatised to the walks that apparently make him so anxious, the worse it will be to normalise it for him?

yeah definitely, dogs really need to be trained, they are not like cats who you can just basically leave and they will look after themselves. I was watching a segment on this morning with a vet saying how dog owners need to be really careful after lockdown as dogs won't be used to socialising and they can become aggressive with other dogs/new people, I think after a certain time if a dog isn't properly socialised it becomes extremely difficult. I think she will just end up giving it to an animal shelter tbh
