Begging for money for vets bills but can afford a £1000+ exercise bike?

on the merch thing... does anyone else think there's a link between plus sized/HAES influencers and a sort of... disregard for waste and overconsumption? Sofie has in the past replied to people suggesting she could be less wasteful/more environmentally friendly in her product usage with a big old 'fuck off'. we know she loves maximalism, new shiny products for her house and now, merch.

It's weirder when you consider that she brands herself as very left wing/ 'woke' (I hate that term as people use it to be negative, but I don't mean it in a negative way) - yet most people who are lefties are critical of capitalism and consumerism. She quite obviously isn't, and never speaks about:

• amazon being crap
• exploitation of factory workers
• single use plastics
• natural resources depleting
• importance of recycling
• importance of small, ethical businesses

Basically she never says anything to do with the massive problem of climate change and capitalism both fucking over the global south and us as westerners being constantly sold unsustainable crap by megacorps and buying into a materialist culture for shit we don't need... maybe this is a reach but is there a link between the philosophy of eating whatever you want and not feeling guilty, and buying whatever you want and not looking at the consequences?

He is such a beautiful dog, I totally understand why Sofie fell in love and HAD to have him. But someone in their life who they trust really ought to have had a word, like... are you sure you're ready to take all this on?

She's right, it is classist. The North East is one of the most deprived and overlooked parts of the UK and our accent routinely mocked. Also it's not "us" as in plural - I'm from the North East and if I said something like, "pass us the remote control" it wouldn't quite be the same sound as the word "us". More like "ez", where I'd pronounce "us" like "uss".

She can absolutely fuck off anyway. I'm sure she'd find a way for an English person hating her accent to be oppressive.

And she's somehow made the cognitive leap that it sounds manipulative (to her) because of some trauma? Have these people fucking heard themselves, honestly.

exactly, they get offended about everything but somehow it is okay to make statements like this belittiling regional dialects. Why should someone like sofie insist people use "they" for one person (which I am totally okay with) then complain about others; langauge use?

I am really intrigued how much she paid for this dog, dogs like this are expensive anyway, but since lockdown everyone seems to want pets and prices have risen insanely (ouble/triple in some cases) . How she could have bought something like this and then be begging for money on patreon makes me quite angry

It’s from a breeder that did a complete number on her, told her they had kept him as a puppy but now he was too big etc etc. He was a returned puppy. And they clearly knew he had entropion. She fell for it even though loads of people messaged her warning her about it, because she knows best.

She never wanted to walk this dog.

Definitely a weak excuse. So it's OK for her to make snap judgements of people based on a quick assessment of their socials? But I'm guessing that doesn't work in reverse and we're only allowed to communicate with her after investing 100s of hours of our lives getting to know her wonderful special self . And if we think she's a dick, we've just not invested enough time to get to the real Sofie, who's just sooooo funny and not a dick at all.

exactly. Dogs can get anxious! Of course they can. But they need walks, and they thrive on routine. So you keep going, you go as far as you can and keep pushing a bit at a time and eventually they get into the habit. She’s had him a good few months now and if she’s still struggling to go even a short distance with him that suggests he still isn’t used to it. I don’t think she’s putting the necessary work in.

the "4 chocolate mousses for breakfast" thing reminded me so much of my behaviour when i had problems with binge eating. Buy something in 4 separate pots and swear to yourself you'll only eat one a day, then you eat one, want another, then you're thinking "oh well, had 2 now, might as well just eat the lot"..... regardless of how you feel about weight and size, it's just not healthy behaviour. (I thought at first it was supposed to be a joke as she's a "comedian" but none of the rest of the video was funny )

I remember when Jack first came on the scene probably a decade ago and, as someone who was raised in actual poverty, the fact that someone would choose to give up a £30k+ job and then claim to be a leading light in living on the breadline despite being from an obviously middle class family, it just fucking enraged me.

Girl if that enrages you you’ve got to come over to the thread cos what’s gone on since is truly WILD. She’s still claiming to be working class despite upstanding member of the community parents (MBE very senior fire officer dad, nurse mum, both long term foster carers) in a 5 bed detached house by the coast The £30k job was answering fire service calls, obviously this would have been an entirely democratic recruitment process and she got in on the merit of her 4 GCSEs. She now grifts a living off Patreon now, never gives them anything for their sub fee just takes because she’s entitled af. What on Earth??

The person is now allegedly dealing with messages from Sofie's fans and threatening legal action.

I just don’t get it, it’s so weird. If someone went off on her in the same way can you imagine?!

For someone who has two therapist's, she shows zero self awareness.

I am convinced neither of her therapists are qualified psychologists or counsellors. And Sofie strikes me as someone who would therapist shop until she got one who coddled her. She once said one of the therapists said something remotely critical and I knew it was BS because there’s no way Sofie would let someone criticise her without a multi story rant on IG about it.
