This drives me CRAZY. Like, I like the gym. I have a mini elliptical thing at home that I got because of Covid. But that exercise habit started with walking and yoga, then increasing to a jog. I don't know what she has against just getting out with her dog.

Yep, this was my thought. Also, I get that she seems to have impulsivity issues but like... There's a return period for a reason. Even the video that Sofie linked was like, you don't need the fancy version the basic is fine. Jessamyn Stanley who Sofie also follows does Peloton but couldn't afford the bike iirc, so just set up a more basic bike with a laptop so just had to pay for the classes and I'm pretty sure she did a while video about how to copy her set up if you also didn't have a lot of money.

Fair enough, she has put on her personal patreon that you're supporting her and I guess you have to accept that she's going to do this sort of thing but she's willing to do this, go into debt for an exercise bike but not her dog?!

Totally agree but how do her fans not see through this? I expect if confronted she'd say she deserves nice things and can't plan ahead for vet bills because, you've got it, trauma

So her boring "day in the life" video shows her lounging about all fucking day rather than walking her dog and then taking him on a long car journey to Bristol with her.

She's selfish and lazy.

In her last day in the life video, she didn't walk Hank on that day either - and she forgot to feed him on time.

Not only does Hank not get walked, but Sofie doesn't seem to make any effort to offer him other forms of stimulation (eg playing tug-of-war together). He just exists to meet her needs.

Just stop posting the stupid fucking clip. This happens every time. People say 'huh, not great to throw things in a river' and they have to get all 'I don't actually care about rivers because capitalism' as if that makes any sense.

This! Every time she posts that clip she includes the lake bit. She knows people comment, so she must crave the criticisms. I know I would just...not post that bit if I wanted to avoid people nagging me about it.

I think the landlord does know. I'm pretty sure Sofie posted the landlord's email on stories where the landlord said they don't normally allow pets due to bad experiences but they'll make an exception.

I think the dog is the least of the problems the landlord would have!

Hank is SO beautiful! It just kills me too that she buys him cheap shit dog food and orders three takeaways per day for herself and spares no expense more generally for her own indulgences. Which I guess included a beautiful pedigree dog that she had no intention of treating properly!!

Yeah, I think it's possibly because of the pandemic, meaning they had to focus more on online sources of income. This meant putting out more/different social media content, which possibly resulted in a lot more people engaging with them and/or having views on what they were talking about. Maybe that was overwhelming for them and they felt the need to impose boundaries. I get that. But the way they go about it is so awful and honestly I actually think they end up being someone that embodies so many of the things they claim to detest!

She blatantly asked for donations for his treatment, berated anyone who questioned it because how could she know? (Isn’t it responsible as a pet owner to make sure you can afford their vet treatments?) then posted her PayPal details.
IMO she got Hank because she wanted a fancy dog and how quickly she was flip flopping about getting a dog, I’d be surprise if she looked into his breed at all.

I remember they said they had to get a dog very quickly because once they get an idea in their head they want to act on it right away. I recall them using this as justification for looking for a dog via gumtree instead of through proper adoption centres. I realised then that they were not at all serious about adopting responsibly and were in fact being very selfish.

If you want to buy a puppy then buy a puppy... the way they did so but tried to make out that they were doing some good deed and being super responsible was what irked me. It's unbelievable they are now asking for financial assistance.

He wakes her up at 7.30 and she doesn’t get up to let him out to toilet and eat UNTIL NEARLY 2 HOURS LATER??
And no walk? Why does she think letting him out in the garden constitutes exercise? She should be walking him at least twice a day, especially at his size. Decent dog owners walk their dogs in the morning and the evening.

It’s so selfish to choose to look after an animal if you can’t be arsed to care for them.

Oh my, I'm so glad I've found the Sofie Hagan thread. I used to really like her and have seen her live a few times, the last time was really quite "meh" and so contradictory. She seemed to be going off on one about how rubbish everything in the UK is (all our meat is grey, in Denmark meat is lovely and PINK, aye because it's dyed). I'm still in the MoH Facebook group but it only occasionally pops up on my page and I wonder how I ever joined. I recall once seeing Sofie fans getting irate about DFW talking about high heels and that being ableist?!

Can't say I'm surprised to find out she's a Patreon beggar like Jack Monroe (I was completely addicted to the JM threads during DKL, right up until I got a new job and had to spend 95% of my day not on Tattle). I only subscribe (is that the right word?) to one patreon, it's a musician with a dirty name (that has a song about Boris) that has put out SO MUCH free content and does loads for his fans, updates, unreleased music, podcasts without the adverts in, videos from gigs, even sending us things he's used in his previous daily youtube shows (and doing a daily video in each of the lockdowns too, which was available to everyone). Definite value for money and I only pay £5 a month.

But yeah. Glad to find like minded people.

The logistics of this are ridiculous. The beds have feet on them so it wouldn't even sit flat on top, it would be super unsafe. And as for having bunk bed type railings on all sides, that would make it such a ballache to change the sheets

I have heard her on a few podcasts so checked out her socials yesterday and then ended up here. She really doesn't come across as a nice person at all! Seems to think she is a special snowflake who can say whatever the fuck she wants to other people but no one is allowed to say anything even vaguely critical or questioning to her (for example about plastic waste) without having the piss ripped or worse (is that supposed to be funny). Really hypocritical and self absorbed.

There's clearly some BS going on about the money thing too. All the home redecoration would be £££ and there's just so much stuff in the flat.
