I just looked up the recipe and found this quote from Jack…

At a guess, it involves either tinned potatoes or instant mash, and features a lengthy intro about how her arthritis prevents her from mashing properly. Some posh people laughed at her for it so she served them this recipe and they declared it was the best mashed potato they'd ever eaten, so Jack had, as always, the last laugh.

Tip tin of potatoes into blender. Add anchovy butter and some rotting herbs (any will do, as we know all herbs are interchangeable). Blend. Transfer to slow cooker and leave on high for 12 hours. Et voila.
