Regards to eating out, we were always told 'opt for a tomato based pasta dish'

These days I just have what I fancy when I go out. Its not often enough to have any impact on weight loss.

That's got to be that Claire and Amanda, they were serial offenders for pathetic behaviour like that 😬
My first thought too!

And yet often these are laced with oil to stop the sauce going brown

My consultant would tell us when eating out order a steak and salad with a jacket potato but don’t have the butter, take a laughing cow cheese triangle in your handbag and use that! I sat there and thought wtf, why am I here, this isn’t normal 😂😂 you’re a laughing cow at that point with that sort of manic behaviour.

It’s madness isn’t it. Let me just get out of my handbag a bag of warm cheese. But at least I’m on plan! 🙈

Anyone remember butter buds? I think that's what they were called 😂

I feel like people lost more £ than lbs with SW. I swear. Everything they recommended was always ££

I know we’re here to have a good gossip about Slimming Worlders and the plan itself, but it’s a bit dull seeing the same tired myths trotted out. :cautious:

No medicine is synned, unless you’re using them as sweet replacements. A guy in my work would eat Cherry Tunes 365 days a year, so it does happen. Even the smell of them turns me now.

Mashing a banana doesn’t magically make it syns. Mashing it and using it to make a smoothie, cake or banana bread means you count a couple of syns for it or count it as whatever you’re replacing using a free food ingredient. So if you use it for pancakes, count the syns you would have done for flour.

I’m not a consultant, but this same balls comes up with every new batch of joiners at my group. No wonder half the people in here or on Insta don’t lose weight on it. They’re tweaking the absolute duck out of the plan.

and then their weigh ins don't add up and they set their minions onto you alongside a spot of doxxing when you dare question them.

I get these may be classed as "myths"
But I've attended 4 different groups. And every single one, the consultant at some point has stated these things as "true"

I posted on here a while ago about how one of the consultants was trying to get a woman to syn her actual prescribed medication that she was on permenantly

This is the issue. If this is who SW are allowing to represent their brand then is it fully a myth?

Also when you complain to SW as I have done. I have the emails to prove it. What do SW do? Oh that's right feck all.

They DGAF what their consultants do, and that's the issue.

My consultant would never publicly say to people that they shouldnt be doing things. In group using smash as flour, making doritos outta lasagne sheets, spring rolls out of lasagne sheets. Stuff like that, she'd nod along. So other people in the group then would be doing it.

You can say oh well these people should know not to do that, it says in the books use food as intended etc but people go to these groups for support and do take in what is said.

I remember at 'image therapy' trying to say that I used filo pastry for spring rolls. (It was low synned) but the fact it was synned would prevent me from over eating and everyone scoffed and laughed at me. Consultant didnt say well actually thats probably what SW would advise 🙄

I mean the science for the bananas was already there before slimming world would mention it , it’s based on the different enzymes and which ones are released depending on the digestion process

Good on you, it's not petty at all, if they want the money they should do their job properly. I always report them and zero ffs given!!

People need to be aware just how much these beggars gain in freebies, and from a person innocently clicking on an "ad" - it's disgraceful. ASA the hell out of them 👌😉 anyone that reports a beggy fool is doing the Lords work in my opinion!
