Even if the baby moans for a couple of mins while you brush your teeth, then so be it?? It’s not the end of the world.

what does she think mothers of multiple children do when she needs to put shoes on one child so they can make the school run and the babies crying?
Or when the babies crying but the toddler needs to get dressed or is doing something it shouldn’t be doing and you need to sort it out.

sometimes babies just need to be left for 2 minutes and it doesn’t mean they’re any less loved or cared for.

She is just another Instagram mother who hams up how hard it is to be a new mother. I’m not doubting it but it’s not as difficult as they make it out to be. You do get time to wash, eat etc. It’s all for attention and it makes her and all these women look incompetent if you ask me. Plenty of women out there with multiple children managing just fine.

And what about the single mothers that do it’s alone 😂😂 I don’t get no help and I still manage to brush my teeth morning & night 😂😂

she makes out like she’s the only mother to have a new born 🤦🏻‍♀️

As someone with a newborn, I think a lot of you have forgotten what it’s like. My baby is 8 weeks old and I feel every word she says. Just saying. Of all the things to be critical of, how hard it is being a first time mum definitely isn’t one of them.

Part of me was like oh ffs stop moaning, I had a severe reflux baby who cried 20 hours of the day, projectile vomit and would only sleep on my chest...now that's hard. But then actually being a new mum is hard even without that, and if her documenting that can help another mum who is maybe struggling realise it's totally normal then I don't think that's a bad thing. Like others have said you can totally still brush your teeth tho, but the showering and eating in my experience ain't easy 🤣

I barely washed and dressed myself in those first 4 weeks or so unless we were going out. I was so consumed by being a mum and thinking I needed to be there for every moment but I didn’t video a close up of my minging teeth for the internet 😆

I’m not a mother so absolutely no judgment from me about not cleaning teeth if that’s how she’s getting herself through..

What I am judging is posting about it. It’s just grim.

No one is disputing how hard it is ? However these days people feel the need to put it on Social media how hard it is - i mean just put the phone down ? I mean shes a midwife - what does she tell her new mums ?

No one needed to see her unbrushed teeth

They all do when they go down the insta mom route. It’s been done to death. It’s boring, nobody wants to watch someone else moaning. If you have time to be on Instagram chatting tit you have nothing to be complaining about

How did she expect her baby to sleep for longer than a second when she was booming into her phone? Or putting him onto the sofa?

Get him used to the basket. I haven’t forgotten what it’s like but like I said I was on my own doing it. Baby had to get used to being put down or I’d never eat or shower.

Unbrushed teeth for TWO days and bragging about it on Instagram. Makes me gag. There is absolutely no excuse for that.

It does sound like she’s having a hard time but it’s still early days and Terrys only been back at work since yesterday.

Gosh, that first day alone with a newborn was hard. Looking back now, I realise that I made it much harder than it needed to be, I had such huge, unrealistic expectations and should have just existed on the sofa, dozing and binging on Netflix (gift of hindsight!). I really, genuinely, hope she lets go of some of her anxieties and relaxes into it.
Slings/wraps are heaven sent gifts to enable you to have a tiny bit of freedom, baby can doze and you can brush your teeth ;)

Yes we know newborns are hard. I think in an attempt to be relatable and show she’s finding it hard “even as a midwife” she’s over sharing! We don’t quite need to know about your prolapse and poor oral hygiene. If you can post multiple stories a day you CAN brush your teeth - no excuses.

She will probably look back and regret all this time on insta as this phase passes quickly and it sad that she is prioritising her Instagram rather than savouring this time and making basic self care a priority!

There’s having no time to do things because you’ve a newborn, or there’s having no time but scrolling through Instagram to complain about it. It’s been a long time since I was a first time mum but I also know I had to keep positive and pro active if I wanted to not let it get me down. It’s ok to say today was a hard day, let’s move on. I think she’s lonely; you aren’t forced out of the house when it’s your first, when its multiple you have to pull yourself together because you’re relied upon by other children. It’s a shock to the system going from childless to suddenly this tiny thing occupying your whole world. But in between the tiredness and sore nipples, you have to get on, no one comes to do it for you sadly. It’s a huge lesson in motherhood, not all about you anymore and this is how it is for the next 18 years at least! You can put on your big girl pants and say right let’s do this, or you can moan to people behind a screen who aren’t going to benefit you in the slightest. Welcome to motherhood; the hardest yet most rewarding job you’ll ever do!

Well well well - she is soooooo tired ( she said tiered ) her spelling is soooo bad she is exhausted an no time to wash or clean her teeth - but has done an ad 😳😳😳😳😳 make up on ..
I think this was filmed and planned prior to having Dusty. She's still pregnant in the grid post, which makes me think these stories were likely also filmed at the same time, in her defense!

Of course having a newborn can be hard, but I don’t get not being able to brush your teeth/do any 3 minute task. Put them in a bouncer in the bathroom and take a 5 minute shower, put them in the carrier and potter about for a quick tidy up, go for a walk so they fall asleep, leave them in the buggy in the house and have a cup of tea and some food etc. you adapt.
