My older lady has had a bit of a new lease of life lately. She has IBD and we’ve put her on one of those brutally expensive mail order cat food diets but she seems to really like it, her coat is so incredibly thick and soft (I never thought there was an issue with her coat but it has become even better regardless!), this and her steroid tablets keep the vomiting sessions to a minimum and her litter tray no longer smells like toxic waste. What a winner! We have a 6 week old baby and we had no idea how this was going to go, but she continues to tolerate him really well, spending plenty of time in the same room with him. She isn’t interested in interacting with him but that’s for the best. I’m impressed by how well she tolerates his crying. And she has picked up playing with toys again after a long spell of not seeming like she cared for them anymore. It’s a huge relief that our ‘first child’ is thriving!

My sweet old cat eats all sorts. We used to have to lock the food waste bin as she would open it with her head and get all sorts out of there.
Her favourite food would most probably be a ham and cheese sandwich she loves bread, loves ham and loves cheese! The only thing we can safely rely on her not to touch, as I think I’ve said here before, is chocolate. Which is great given that it’s toxic to cats. She needs to have a sniff of when she knows you’ve opened some, but after that she has zero interest. I deed to think how many expensive vet trips we would have had if things were different!

Slightly different, but when I told my mum and we told my in laws I was pregnant, we did the whole scan picture in the Mother’s Day stuff because the timing worked out quite well like that. Both of them, independently and without being in communication with each other, asked if it was definitely my scan and not our cat’s. Our cat, who we adopted already neutered several years ago. Who is in her late teensLove this
it’s a minor miracle that I’m pregnant but if the cat was knocked up I’d be all over the tabloids making some money off the story

Jimmy is the same. He has a 12 hour clock that counts down from his last feed to the next one.
Anyways, I was in the bathroom this morning when I heard the kitchen cupboard door rattling. I looked and, sure enough, there was Jimmy trying to open them. There is absolutely nothing in there for him to eat - it's pure mischief and nothing else.
He was so engrossed in his safe-cracking that me asking him what he was doing was enough to make him go "Eeeep!" and flee the scene.

My cat is actually embarrassing at this point when the cat sitter comes in to pick up keys he immediately does his treat dance which evolved from just a little beg standing on back paws to a full on macarena. Like let the woman walk through the door first!They will have seen and heard everything! The cat sitters we have had were surprised to discover that our food obsessed girl will come to the door and greet them, then fully escort them to the kitchen and demonstrate where all the food is, and once’s she’s had some, will make her way to the tap and lick it to encourage them to turn it on so she can hydrate herself

So I had a cat; this cat...
who was the bonniest, most confident cat ever. As a kitten she climbed up the drawer handles onto a bench and I sprayed her with the magic kitten training water bottle - and she leaned into it asking "more more I love this"
I thoroughly recommend Selkirk Rex breed, this lovely confidence is a trait
