They will have seen and heard everything! The cat sitters we have had were surprised to discover that our food obsessed girl will come to the door and greet them, then fully escort them to the kitchen and demonstrate where all the food is, and once’s she’s had some, will make her way to the tap and lick it to encourage them to turn it on so she can hydrate herself
we barely need to give them instructions This is the cutest thing everWell one of mine can't really meow so he just waves his paws and goes brrr. The other one meows a lot! It all balances itself out i guess
. Last year my talkative little boy went missing for a month. He came back (thank god) but he'd obviously been stuck somewhere as he'd almost lost his little voice. Heartbreaking for me to think whatbhed been through but thank godnhe came back (and quickly retained his loud voice

Meanwhile the last time my cat threw up a furball I freaked out (not directly at her, I’m not a complete monster) because of course she had chosen to sit herself down on an expensive rug, the only expensive rug we’ve ever owned, to yak it up. Excellent

I have this debate daily, I would love a kitten but im so unsure what cleo would be like. Ive considered fostering too because I would need to try it first. I don't want to risk getting a kitten and cleo is unhappy meaning I would have to rehome the kitten. I don't want her to think I dont love her. My previous cat would've packed his bags if I brought a kitten homeHelp, I'm broody for another cat.
I know we can't reasonably get another cat. Peach literally only came up for adoption because she wasn't getting on living with two other cats. But they were a big, fluffy Persian and Ragdoll pair of older boys... so maybe a kitten could workBut I also know I'd feel so gutted if ever I had to rehome a cat and would never put a kitten in that situation! So I know my pipe dream is over
Cleo has also taken a liking to sleeping on my back at night, meaning I have to sleep on my front. I was so uncomfortable last night but she had a great night sleep whilst licking herself. This morning I woke up really needing to pee and it was like buckaroo trying to get her off me! She grips on for dear life.

I love Cleo, I treat her like my child but an human being is not something I could cope with. My heart melts when she cuddles me but that's all I need. Cleo gives me a chance to chill, she goes to bed easily
I could have 10 cats but no one child haha.

We have two litter trays. One of ours pees in one, then climbs into the other to have a crap.
I posted earlier about Peach's favourite toy being a hairband. After advice I took them all away from her for her safety but omg! She's become a menace! She's literally hunting them and trying to find them wherever she can - I'm having to leave them in a zipped pouch. She can't be stopped, she's like a vigilante running around secretly finding hairbands wherever she can!
That is very much the epitome of a cat living his best life

I came downstairs yesterday to find Jimmy had thrown up in the backyard. I could see a large lump of fur in there and the food was pretty well digested so he must have been yukking it up from the depths. I've dosed him with hairball remedy anyways.
I was woken by urgent shouting at 4.30 am this morning. I came downstairs to check what was causing him such distress. He had been playing with one of his toy balls and it had gone under the armchair where he couldn't reach it. So, obviously, instead of getting another toy ball he woke me to get the one he wanted and then ignored it when I gave it back to him.

My previous cat Freddy was a boy. I think he did prefer female over male company. He was also extremely affectionate and wasnt shy to be so. Our cat Bella is much more reserved with her affections - she is affectionate but its on her terms. Freddy always came for a fuss if i was around or came to greet me when i got home from work but Bella doesnt do this. She will say hello when she is ready to do so.
She is affectionate but equally aloof . She loves us but doesnt make it so obvious whereas Freddy made his affections known.

That being said she was nervous nelly when we first brought her home - and almost a year later she has become a lapcat. She usually makes herself at home on my lap most evenings which im happy about ( although not so much when i need the loo or she gives me a deadleg). All the same i am chuffed feels comfortable enough to do this.

Cats also love to change where they sleep, at the moment Thor is sleeping in the tower but last week it was the sofa. Next week it'll be in one of the window baskets or back on the bed at my feet.

Happy Valentine’s Day from our little love bug! Does anyone else either know they don’t want kids/could take it or leave it but feel SO maternal when they snuggle up on you like this? I’m really in two minds about having kids because I know I’m quite selfish and would need to do a lot of personal work first but she makes it so easy to love such a tiny little thing. I just love when she cuddles me 🥹🥹
