I bought these nice curtain lights. They look pretty and are battery operated. They go across the curtain rail and hang down fairy lights to the floor. I didn't think about the cats when I bought them....
So yeah Boss #2 has been attacking them and biting them 😾 It's been a few days and so far, calling her and clapping our hands has been working well the stop her. But today or right now has been the worst, she must have the zoomies or just a bunch of energy. Plus they are on right now so that is probably calling her to them.
We have brought out the dreaded water spray bottle and have sprayed her 3 times so far... I hate it bc I don't want her to hate me but I also def don't want her hurting herself by biting them. We are also trying to distract her with all the toys and the peak-a-boo yoke, and the laser. Hopefully this works.

Today it was.

3.30 am.

Sound of paws doing a mad gallop up the stairs.

Jimmy lands on the bed next to me.

"It's cold, move over."

And walks on my legs so I have to move aside for him.
God my (huge) little girl insists on lying on my legs, I bruise really easily and I'm always covered in them from the weight of her

When my old cat wasnt eating the vet recommended me to try him on tuna in spring water. He was so fussy but he loved a tin of tuna, even a small amount to see it he ate it.

In other news my boyfriend and I bought fish and cleo is fasinated by them 🤣 it's her very own TV!
Like a real life cat youtube channel 😅

No I don’t but neighbours do,she’s s weird, weird gal always has been.I’ve bough grass plants Nope don’t touch em.
You could try a catnip plant? Obviously you'd need to limit her usage I'd say, but I bought catnip seeds in a garden shop a while ago

Old cats and not eating - a mystery... advice gratefully received...

I've got a big, hefty ginger boy who generally loves his food. About 3-4 wet packets a day. About two weeks ago, he stopped aside from a mouthful here and there. I took him to the vet and everything seemed absolutely fine - teeth, ears, heart, etc. The vet said he needed deworming, and gave him a steroid and anti-nausea shot, she was reluctant to do bloods as they were done in May and perfect. It did the trick and he started eating again.

He's now barely touched his food since this morning and I'm worried it's starting again. The question is; is it normal for older cats (15 years plus) to go off and on food again? He acts entirely normal otherwise, still drinks, uses the litterbox, etc. As my first cat, I worry about missing 'signs'.

Does anyone’s cat sometimes make a noise like they are wheezing for a like 30 seconds? Peach has just done it and the vets have told us it’s probably just a hair up her nose, but it was SO scary! I was worried she was having an asthma attack or something! They advised not to bring her in as she now seems completely fine, playing as normal but I was terrified

Just had a battle trying to get both cats to take the worm meds. Boss #1 took half of a pill and we hope to get her to take the other half later. It was stuffed inside a treat. We had to split it cos it was massive. We tried the usual trying to just get it in her mouth and rub her neck to get her to swallow but she panicked badly. We were really relived that she took the half in the treat after that. Since the pills work from 2kg to 8kg and she is 4kg, I feel like even if she only takes the half it'll still be OK.
Boss #2 however didn't take the pill laced treat but tbh the treat in question is the 1 she plays with 1st so it kinda makes sense. Plus cos she only 2kg, so super small, we quartered her pill and really hope that later on she will let us just pop it in her mouth and swallow.

Should I be worried that when and only when cleo is kneading me and purring intensely she starts having a wet nose. It's always clear but this morning she sneezed on my face. She doesn't sneeze any other time.
Hmm, I'm not sure! I know cats get colds sometimes. Is there a vet service that you can call for advice?

I'm really hoping I can get her to wear it long enough for a nice picture. I have this idea in my mind of her, sat in front of her little Gourmet Mousse block thing we've bought her as a treat but I have a feeling it'll be a quick one and done photo 😂

I know she's going to love the tunnel, she loves hiding behind doors and things and charging at us! And it's got that crinkly texture too which she seems to love on all of her toys. So excited for her to see it, feels like christmas come early 😂
Oh I was going to ask about the textture/noise, she will love it! How exciting! 🥰

P has had a couple and I think it's because she's so confused by our up-and-down weather and her poor little coat doesn't know when to grow or shed. We've ordered her a new brush as I don't think the current one is cutting it and hopefully she'll be fine!

I think she would put smart it! When she was a kitten she ate so fast! I had to get one of them bowls mainly for dogs to help slow down.
She’s just a piggy when it comes to food especially if she loves it! I’ve made a rookie mistake n got shop own brand wet food…refused it! So back to whiskers!
Perhaps a little hand held hoover to clean up the mess she doesn't devour then 😹

First day of Christmas tree with Peach seems to have been a success. She’s definitely curious but hasn’t gone full demon mode like her dad expected her to! Long may this continue 😂

...sadly I had to say goodbye to my wee Evie cat last month...take comfort that she had a great life and was a spoiled princess 😿...but...these two came up and I couldn't resist...have named them Jules and Remy...will be interesting having boys for a change!
Sorry to hear about Evie, I'm sure she had a great life! Look at those two cuties though 😍

I presume she has a favourite bag. My little (fat) girl has a favourite chair from the kitchen table (they're literally all the same plastic chairs) and gets aggressive should anyone use one by accident
Hahaha! They're weird like that, eh.
No favourite bag, they're just all hers.
