When my cats cough I hold their head up so the neck is exposed and stroke the throat area gently from chin to chest a few times.
Cats sometimes have trouble swallowing, possibly due to their spiky tongues.

Hi,

I’ve got a 9 week old kitten, Lola She refuses to eat wet food, her owners previously said she isn’t a massive fan. I’ve been feeding her cooked fresh breast and wainwrights complete kitten biscuits but she won’t eat the biccies on their own without the chicken. I’ve ordered a trial box from Bella and Duke so hopefully she can eat some better food. I’m still worried she isn’t eating enough though.. can anyone advise please?

My cat used my bed as a litter tray the other day as I'd moved one litter box whilst I was cleaning and hadn't moved it back to its normal place . The other litter box was in its normal location opposite where the moved one should've been. Then they have a third one although I recently changed it to a different one and both cats haven't used it since so might have to change it back.
But it was a bit so nice surprised when I was about to get into bed late at night

I'll give it to my cats, they've been pretty good with the litter tray so far. One time i cleaned it out and forgot to put new litter in till the next day one of the cats was running about acring weird and asking to be let into the bathroom so he can poop in the bathtub that's his place of choice the few times he went outside of the tray

our 5 week old kitten doesn't appear to have any interest in eating food - he's still nursing. I think mum is trying to lead him to food but he's having none of it

at what point do i worry that he's not eating yet?

Please keep us updated with pictures of cats eyeing up the tree, climbing the tree, sitting near the remains of the tree with a 'who, me??' expression on their faces.

Wanted: Good Home for a Bad Cat.

All my downstairs is wooden flooring.

Where did Jimmy decide to upchuck his scoffed-too-fast dinner?

Why, into the gap between the granite slabs by the fireplace.

Took me twenty minutes to clear it up.

He is currently sleeping off the rest of his dinner in his chair next to me out in the cold backyard until he apologises.

I once had a cat who managed to vomit down the back of the radiator (she'd been sitting on the windowsill above it). Fun times!!

I have this debate daily, I would love a kitten but im so unsure what cleo would be like. Ive considered fostering too because I would need to try it first. I don't want to risk getting a kitten and cleo is unhappy meaning I would have to rehome the kitten. I don't want her to think I dont love her. My previous cat would've packed his bags if I brought a kitten home

Cleo has also taken a liking to sleeping on my back at night, meaning I have to sleep on my front. I was so uncomfortable last night but she had a great night sleep whilst licking herself. This morning I woke up really needing to pee and it was like buckaroo trying to get her off me! She grips on for dear life.

I'm.not sure, but this level of neediness does seem like maybe she does want another cat friend?

Oh dear can anybody give me a clue re Whisper,I noticed yesterday Whisp came in stood on the work surface in kitchen like she does,not really eating much food although it seems she wants to,she is doing little gulps,I’ve put food out but it’s like she wants to but does these swallows type thing little gulps.

its like her swallowing I’m just gave her some dreamies,she started to eat them then like cough swallowing thingy.she’s hungry I know.

I wonder if he has a bit of Maine Coon in him? They're very dog-like and also nosy, they like to follow their people around and enjoy hanging out.

Apologies to anyone reading this at breakfast, but some cats are just much more pukey than others. My current idiot boy very, very rarely pukes, but my lovely tortie girl (RIP) was an expert at inhaling her food then throwing it up again.

This is why Loki is also known as Sir Loki Scoffalot-pukealot!

My cats used to climb the curtains as kittens, they haven't done it in years, I'd probably take down the lights until they're older tbh

Nah, I like them up. It's Boss #2 who is just over 1 yr old who is doing it. They've been up for maybe 2 weeks now and tonight is really 1st night she has been persistent with them. It was funny how she would look at us, seeing what we were gonna do, will we use the spray bottle, think she was playing with us as well as the lights. After husband did it that's when she stopped She is mostly his cos he picked her & she has him wrapped around her lil paw! Right now she is passed out on her blankie on the sofa, all tired out. She so cute!
Hopefully it's just a random night of chaos for her.

Anyone else get clingy cats when it's hot? My dad reckons they want to get close because our skin is cool.
It's been brutally hot here (over 40 degrees) and I've had both Thor and Susan lying on me and wanting cuddles more than usual.
