My Mum’s little cat is the sweetest and fluffiest black cat in the world. She looks like she has stumpy legs but it’s hard to tell if it’s a bit of a trick of the eye because of her being long haired. Loves a belly rub, loves to make biscuits, a total dribbler as well. Very shy and easily spooked but if you earn her trust you feel very blessed indeed!

Mine would be mates with anyone who gave her food. If we go away and have a pet sitter person she is all over them like a rash like she is finally being well treated for the first time in her life, then seems genuinely a bit disappointed when we come back 🤣
Jimmy thinks everyone who calls to the house is there to visit him.

He sort of struts about in front of them and then starts rubbing himself against them. Then, like a toddler, he gets out his toys and starts playing with them one after the other.

Wanted: Good Home for a Bad Cat.

All my downstairs is wooden flooring.

Where did Jimmy decide to upchuck his scoffed-too-fast dinner?

Why, into the gap between the granite slabs by the fireplace.

Took me twenty minutes to clear it up.

He is currently sleeping off the rest of his dinner in his chair next to me out in the cold backyard until he apologises.

This morning Jimmy has approached his empty food bowl from three different angles in the hopes that there would be something in it this time.

Bless.

My bloody cat got up when I did at 4am for a wee, came back to bed with me all purring and ‘cuddly’ so I was petting her whilst she was cosied up on top of me she then proceeded to bite my fingers twice, really quite firmly. So, I stopped petting her and tried to go back to sleep and she pawed my head and repeatedly climbed on my bedside table. She then leapt off the bed and onto a chest of drawers to yowl operatically. It’s a good job she’s so pretty.

Bit paranoid about Peach's insistence on sitting with either her caboose or her paws directly touching the radiator. She was doing it yesterday whilst I was sat next to her and she was fully touching it like it was a hot water bottle. Can someone reassure me that she will move if it gets too hot? 😂
My first cat lived with us in a tatty and rather draughty Victorian cottage. The only source of warmth was the open fire in the living room.

In the colder months, she would get into the fireplace and lie across the front of the fender, almost touching it. As she was a black cat, she absorbed a fair amount of heat. Once she had toasted herself silly, she'd get up and stagger over by the front door, which opened directly into the living room, and would cool off before repeating the process.

Of course, in the summer, she would stretch out on the corrugated iron roof of the kitchen/bathroom extension and soak up the heat.

After a few years, we moved a few streets away to a completely modern house with no draughts and central heating which she, being a cat, considered a poor substitute for an open fire and was quite vocal in letting us know.

She’s furiously typing out a letter of complaint, you can expect to hear from her solicitor 🤣

I can’t remember if it was a claw clip, a health check or a ‘proper’ vet appointment we took our old lass to. We were told when we adopted her that she hates the vet. To be honest, she mostly just sits like a dead weight and refuses to move or be examined. With a face like pure thunder. Anyhoo, she had sulked through her appointment so the vet got a couple of Dreamies out of the jar and she was so affronted she ignored them. So the vet picked one up and popped it on her front paw. Wow, if looks could kill, my cat would be serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the AUDACITY of the vet to play down how awful the visit had been for the cat 🤣🤣🤣
Peach also dead weights, tucks her little tail and paws under herself but it's definitely not a loaf and definitely an act of defiance. The vet she had two times ago was lovely and offered her a feliway lick-e-lix style treat which she loved and didn't feel too hard done by on that trip. Then, we had the same vet as this time on our last visit and she only got offered a singular dreamies which she doesn't like and we did say that she's not keen on them at all (she doesn't seem to like any hard treats except from freeze dried tuna and chicken bits etc) and she vet said "well she might take it" and Peach just looked at us as if to say "what the fuck is this woman doing?!" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I feel I've encouraged it too cause it really gets to me too so try to make it stop 😂 sometimes just want to chill and not be meowed at. That's how i know children aren't for me 😂
Im exactly the same!! Cleo has put me off kids for life 🤣 shes actually been very chilled this morning so she must know im talking about her. She's the sweetest girl, I love her but ive never had the experience of a very vocal cat. It has helped that a lot of people on here say their cat is the same so I know im not alone.

What a beautiful cat! ♥
He's the strangest combo of angry Dwarf whose treasure and wife has been stolen, and graceful fun-filled theatrical Elf. He cost AUD29 (literally on special!) from the animal shelter and, of course, I love him.

Long live all your cats: they have his axe and his bow 😽

Yes, always 😹 like no kitty that won't dry you 😹
Jimmy always does it.

The other day, he came barrelling through the back door and literally bounced off the kitchen cupboard. I think he was chasing a flying insect. He tried to style it out and then just sat there having a wash in a "Meant to do that didn't I." fashion.

That is peak cat 😅 acting upset/scared to make you worry but really just desperate for the cuddles anyway. I wonder if she understands that he will tell you about it 😅
As soon as I came back she jumped off like nothing was happening... the bitch 🤣

Indulge me one more Boss story:

I had to tend to a sick cow in a gully. It was a dark late winter night. The two border collie dogs (pets, not working dogs as you'll glean) ran around like idiots until it was a bit cold and dark and wet for them, so I proceeded alone. Then I heard a rustle running leaping etc and it was my cat! She bounded by my side and sat on the cow's flank as I injected penicillin, then sat with me purring and chatting until the cow arose, then we returned to house and the bloody dogs were all, hey want to play? And she walked up to one and smacked him hehe
And this is why I adore cats 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌.
My late mum took in a semi feral cat at 3 months, lived till she was 20. A chap lived at the other end of the road to my parents and his great dance refused point blank to walk past my parents house - he was terrified of the cat - she'd chased him up the length of the road and the poor mutt never got over it 😂.

Hi new to this group, im a crazy cat lady with 5 cats. 3 tuxedo cats, one tortoise shell and one all black. Im just after advice regarding the dreaded fleas! They are de-flead every 4 weeks, ive used every product on the market, had people out to spray the house and they are still rampant 😩 im going to take them to vets to get a stronger dose that last 3 months. Just wondered if anyone else has this issue? I am washing everything they can get onto such as bedding, cushions, kids soft toys etc. On a 90 degree wash. It's a never ending cycle.

I don't think our girl has ever slept deep enough to be able to try that :ROFLMAO:

Feeling a bit sad though as we bought her a cat tree recently and since then, she's stopped sleeping in our bed! She still comes in to see us every morning but I miss her little snores from the end of the bed.

Happy Valentine’s Day from our little love bug! Does anyone else either know they don’t want kids/could take it or leave it but feel SO maternal when they snuggle up on you like this? I’m really in two minds about having kids because I know I’m quite selfish and would need to do a lot of personal work first but she makes it so easy to love such a tiny little thing. I just love when she cuddles me 🥹🥹
I feel maternal in the way that I love my cats so much, I love that connection you get with some animals where you're just cuddling and loving them. I'm too much of a cat person to have kids. Case in point, when my nephew was first born I was holding him and thinking "He's not purring."

I've had friends tell me I'd be a great mum based on how I am with animals, I don't think I would be though. I'm caternal, not maternal.

I mean, I thought I'd have children one day because that's what you were expected to do, then my friends started having families and I realised it wasn't for me.

When cleo is happy to see you she will roll around on her back and you can tickle her tummy, there is the odd occasion where she will take that opportunity to try bunny kick me though 🤣
My little girl rolls around on her back flaunting her tummy while looking at you pleadingly. But God forbid if you touch her!
