For those that think she shouldn't return- why do you think the Kurds should have responsibility for her? She was born here and radicalised here.

I wonder how you would feel about a terrorist who was born, raised and radicalised in Bangladesh being told to come to the UK because their parent is a citizen here. It would probably be a big no, right? So why should Bangladesh take her.

At the end of the day someone has to be responsible for her, it should be us and we should figure something out to keep our citizens safe.

She is entitled to it to appeal the removal of her British citizenship. I expect the entitlement extends only to these proceedings and I think it is right that she gets that. It would set a very dangerous precedent for the British government to be able to unilaterally revoke a person's citizenship and it not be challenged.

That said, it's been very expensive and I do wonder if it might have been cheaper to bring her home and tag her.

Do you think she should be executed without trial? Based on your comment I guess you might, but if not - why should anyone else have to take her?
There are plenty of British citizens that are guilty of abhorrent things that are here facing justice. Why is she different?

What would she be charged with and what do you think would be the sentence if found guilty? I ask because there seems to be an expectation in some quarters that she would be charged and inevitably receive a long prison sentence. I don't think either is necessarily correct. Very few people that returned from Syria were charged with any offence.

She should be charged with terrorism crimes. The fact that we don't have the correct legislation in place is absurd ... Government should be taking the threat of radicalisation seriously and writing appropriate laws to punish.
If she hasn't actually committed a crime, why have we revoked her citizenship? It doesn't make any logical sense.

I've no idea, but surely to god with the threats of terrorism in this day and age we should have appropriate legislation in place.
The thing is, we have the right to fair trial with onus on the prosecution to prove guilt, not for the defendant to prove innocence. She went "off the radar" we have no proof of anything other than what she told us. She was a groomed child and is now a groomed, traumatised adult (regardless of whether she identifies with that or not, that's what she is), very naive and doesn't come across as very bright.
It all just doesn't sit well with me. I don't know what the answer is but washing our hands of her seems wrong...

If she committed the crime in that country, then yes! Did they ship IRA terrorists back to Dublin when their crime was in the UK ? No they didn’t !

It is difficult because there's no evidence she was directly involved in any killings. Her husband was, but not her. Maybe she was a submissive wife and did as he told her to, no idea. She is a British citizen and that's the issue. I've no idea what the answer is tbh.

Maybe the reason they don’t want her back is lack of (concrete )evidence to present to a jury, in British law a conviction can only be made on the evidence placed before the court not on assumptions, they probably know she’d walk free and put us all at risk.
