Just binge watched series 1 and 2 over the past 2 nights. Mary is definitely on something at Heather's listing in S2 E7, she was all over the place.

I'm watching this now by chance. All the characters are unlikeable so I'm not warming to it although the houses are nice! I wouldn't mind a house in the Hamptons.

My friend recommended selling sunset and I binge watched it in a week 
for shame I LOVED it! I loved the hills & it’s totally the slightly more grown up version of it, which I am more than happy with! 
I started reading this thread before I finished s3 and yes Mary! Totally on something, I feel for Chrishell but also the fake set up family scenes was v cringe, and she seemed to be on something the last few episodes I know American reality shows are all for the drama (which I love!) but her airy, breathy declarations were a wee bit 
but still. I loved it all and cannot wait for S4!

Chrishell - after she had been notified of the divorce, she still let tv cameras into her house, at the airport and even into her sisters house.
I do wonder if it was on the cards and she was trying to make a name in tv land for herself. She did not work at the agency and had to get a licence to sell properties before they filmed the whole seasons. All the other girls worked at the agency already. In my eyes, all seasons seemed to be showing what a wonderful lovely person she is, she kept on about her wonderful husband. All a bit suspicious for me.

Just finished this! The houses are fabulous but the ‘team’ are a complete bunch of idiots! Awful, all of them, & if they get any business after the show aired I’d be surprised!!!
I'm also currently watching this as well, atm the drama feels very staged as if they're trying to be as entertaining as SS.
Also the three white guys I get frat bro vibes from. Michael definitely thinks he's the Christine of the show, loving being the centre of attention.
As someone with a German parent I get really annoyed when people say Davina is the way she is because she is German because being a cold-hearted witch with no social skills is NOT cultural. Love the show for the real estate porn, but these people are all insane. Mary seems to be high most of the time, Christine is a full-blown narcissist with delusions of grandeur, Chrishelle probably isn't half as sweet as she presents herself to be, and the two tiny twins are simply gross (typical small dick energy). Heather? Doesn't seem to have a personality outside of dating a D-list "celebrity."
Chrishell is on dancing with the stars.

I don’t think Crishell is that nice - even with Davina’s leading questions, she did talk smack about Mary’s partner who she didn’t know to a colleague she didn’t know, and she broke Maya’s baby news by shouting “to the baby” before cornering Maya to break the news. She partied up a storm playing the victim for a while. And the twins are typical estate agents with a hand in development, utter Del Boys.
Honestly, I think all of them are a bit rubbish but that’s 100% commission jobs where you also compete against your colleagues for you. I really disliked the group criticising sessions when “resolving” grievances between the ladies, it was pretty dystopian.
And the houses, no matter how expensive, mostly manage to look like an over large garden room / keter shed. None of them are kid or dog friendly either. I would be worried about sliding around those solid floors after a few as well.
I bleeping love the show though

Have actually been up around the Hollywood Hills and it is not desirable. Some houses are big but you are not on a large area of land, you are squashed right next to your neighbour's house...if I had that money, I would live on a huge area of land with no one around. Also, the roads are very narrow and windy, with lots of trees. If there is a wildfire, you could easily get trapped. You can tell he is totally in love with her!I thought that Jason really loved Mary but wouldn’t commit so that’s the reason for the favouritism because he can’t give her exactly what she wants so makes up for it in other ways
I don't understand it either I would also way prefer to be a little further out and have a huge country mansion with greenery and views around me. Everyone in the Hills drives everywhere as who is going to trek up those ridiculous hills to grab a pint of milk
For the money they are spending they might as well go a tad further out and get a much better package.. But hey ho what do I know, I'm just a minion haha
Exactly, couldn't pay me to live in the hills. Holywood is also awful. Beverley Hills is a different story though.
