As I've said previously, the best advice I've ever received, courtesy of a goth girl called Sarah¹ was "don't be evil to yourself".

¹even if someone who knows me were to read this, and know it were me², this could be at least two different people.

But, as I said in the Jack Monroe thread the other day, it's now approaching 20 years since I was diagnosed with Aspergers, so maybe I'm getting a bit better at noticing things.

I was diagnosed a lot more recently. I’m always questioning whether I am overthinking/misconstruing a situation or things are going completely over my head. At least I’m no longer stressed and anxious about not fitting in. I’m still trying to learn certain social cues but I have learnt tact and can apply it 85% of the time so there’s that lol.

Yeah, it's bloody hard. All I can really say is to keep working on it and it will get better and or you'll get better at hiding that you feel awkward about it lol

Deep breath... im on the Asd spectrum and I know how hard it is to ' read ' between the lines.

My son has both ASD and Tourette’s - you aren’t alone in finding that comment out of order.

My advice is ( for what it's worth ).. Dont worry, don't care, don't give a crap about fitting in... People who love you will care enough to guide you... stick close to those who have your back ( trust me there are more out there then u realise) and. BE. YOURSELF.

Just read that all the BGT judges are currently negotiating their contracts for the next series so it seems like whoever leaked that transcript of Wailliams knew that and wanted maximum impact.

I just don’t see why these women would want to be known as his “baby mama,” a term I hate but seems to be attributed to these women in the press. There’s more to life than having a baby with a celebrity and soon the child support will run out.
