I thought Michael Hutchence was gorgeous. He was definitely no angel but, from what I’ve heard about him, he seemed to be genuinely a nice guy. I think getting involved with Paula Yates was the worst decision he ever made. She and Bod Geldof were well suited to each other. Both toxic, self centred, narcissists. Hutchence was mentally fragile and it seems he was just not able to cope with her manipulation of him and the aggression of Saint Bob. I firmly believe that if he’d stayed with Helena Christiansen, he’d still be alive today. But I guess we’ll never know.
Whenever I think of Michael, I can’t help but remember how either Noel or Liam tried to belittle him on stage at the Brits - made themselves look vile, but I also remember the look of hurt and humiliation on his face 😒

God, I hate Wet Leg. I don’t know why but I just do. Other bands worth ten of them seem to find it much much harder to get traction even though they were 6Music darlings at one point (I’m thinking of The Big Moon, for one).
Wet Leg is a fucking awful name. Pissed My Pants would be classier.

I'll say one thing and take from it what you will. Everyone thought Philip Schofield was great and he was a national treasure until he came out as gay 🤷‍♀️
🤣🤣 no they didn't

And him using being gay to deflect from the mounting bullying claims against him was awful and not progressive for gay people at all.

Also, for many many people him coming out wasn't exactly news

National treasure gets thrown around a lot, most of the time it's not true or self promotional PR spin. Linda Robson even called herself it on loose women, and she really isn't.

I'm way behind on the thread and don't know where this will land, but my mind keeps returning to Cliff Richard the Assassin from one of the previous threads. The mental image never stops being entertaining. 😂

Yes! I now picture him in his secret bunker, sitting in a swivel chair surveying a bank of TV screens showing surveillance footage of his potential targets. Every so often he will freeze a frame and press a button on his desk to summon one of his hit squad. The underling will appear, Cliff will point to the face on the screen saying “Hunniford, you know what to do. Do NOT fail me.” Then the trembling Gloria exits to the sinister vision of Cliff watching himself in his Mistletoe and Wine Video and humming along to the tune while loading his Glock.

My manager told me her mum saw Ant walking his dog on wimbledon common monday evening and now all of a sudden he has 'flu like symptoms' and is 'bed bound' (as the article states)
Seems a little convenient 😅
I hate to be That Person, but I was out having a lovely day last Monday afternoon, then spent the next 3 days sweating and shivering in bed feeling like I was dying 😬 This particular flavour of covid that’s doing the rounds seems to be quite a bastard, I’m on day 9 (🤷🏻‍♀️) and I still feel rougher than a badger’s bumhole. Thoughts and prayers to me etc.

Anyway it’ll be nice for the NTAs not to be the National Ant & Dec Awards for once! Fair play to them but I often wonder if the cheeky Geordie schtick will still work for them when they’re 70 😆

Matt Smith was amazing playing Prince Philip in The Crown. I believed he really was Philip. Actually the second guy who played him was really good as well, Philip is the only person the casting people have got consistently right.

Good on Mel for calling him out.

It must be infuriating for anyone who’s encountered him in such a way to see him so quickly and arrogantly try to pull the wool over the publics eyes.

If even Truss is getting rid of you i would say you’re pretty horrid.

He’s a bit thin and although muscular in a yoga toned way. He’s not attractive as he was.
Long curly haired poppet with chiffon shirts, skinny jeans and funky boots were the Harry Styles years I liked.

His worst look is when he grows a porn star moustache and wears sexually ambiguous clothing. Or just wears something ridiculous to look edgy and ends up looking like a confused old lady, lost on her way to Aldi.

What was in the boxes lol
Basically everything they could have merchandised by sticking “The Box” on it, t shirts, baseball caps, hoodies and a backpack. Duvet set, posters, lampshade etc, this large ugly faux leather satchel full of loads of top 40 cds and NOW compilations which was by far the best part and why i would of entered the competition…i don’t think i ever wore any of the clothes 🤣

What’s the tea with Bruce Willis? I’ve just read on the Aaron Carter thread that he claimed to have lived with BW and that he spent thousands of dollars on clothes for him and Nick (Carter). But also heard rumours surrounding BW and Zac Efron.
I know he bought Aaron Carter a Ferrari for his 14th birthday, they weren’t related, or working together on a film or anything at the time…..not weird at all 🤮.

I can’t understand why Eddie Izard was so widely praised by the media for wearing this dress, when the much younger Princess Letizia of Spain was called mutton dressed as lamb for wearing it? He looked fucking ridiculous. People can wear what they like, I don’t care really but why are we pandering to male born people and telling them they look amazing when nine times out of ten they don’t?

I think the problem with a thread like this is that people are going to have different ideas as to where rhe line should be drawn on what should be posted.

Like I’ve said before, I have a problem with people being accussed of really awful crimes such as rape and paedophilia when there is no evidence to support it other than internet gossip. I also agree that people’s health should be off limits.

However, unless there is an official set of rules for the board than it’s going to be down to people‘s individual views regarding what they post. To be honest, even though it’s annoying when someone draws their line in a very different place to you, I think I’d rather have things that way than have a set of rules. Thet frequently escalates into more and more topics being banned and the thread becoming over policed.
I've said before that it's true re Russell. I'm not going to divulge anything more than that. What do you want, written testimonies from his victims?

It is a very serious allegation and one that I would not make lightly. He's a hypocritical cunt who needs to be called out.

How completely and utterly ridiculous does Schofield hanging out with those overly botoxed influencer types who are young enough to be his kids?

That’s not a true at all.

Plenty of people didn’t like him and you only have to look in the threads here pre his coming out in early 2020.

Outside of this forum “Annoying tw*t” “smug twa*t” are just two phrases that have always gone along side his name for many of us.

The media and ITV said he was “a national treasure” where do you think that phrase was coined in the first place? it’s certainly not by us out in the public it’s pushed on to us and seems to brainwash a few people who then repeat it.

Schofield paid very handsomely to get to that “national treasure” status you talk about.

The eighties music scene was full of blokes with a full face of makeup on and frilly blouses. Nobody tried to label them or change their gender. I miss the eighties!
Damn right. It was the era we knew just about everyone in the Top 40 and what number they were in the charts. Albums don’t come out but are 'dropped' meaning all the songs could be streamed straight away, in the 80’s you had to wait weeks for the next song release which was only done as the previous one had dropped out of the charts.

We don’t know who anyone is these days because people collaborate with each other all the time like Calvin Harris - who’s also a DJ and artist - DJ's in the 80’s only released parody songs like The Floral Dance.

What I hate about nowadays is that there are no CHARACTERS anymore, they’re all bland and look and sound the same. The same goes for Wimbledon which I used to love watching back then, and comedians.

I agree
Also if he was such a cunt why does he have full custody of Madison? Surely there would be 50/50 ... Her stories of abuse doesn't sit well with me tbh.
She lucked out getting pregnant by multi millionaire Eddie Murphy.. Shows a hard nosed business side of her.
I didn’t know she doesn’t have custody of one of her kids. I’ve never liked her tbh, she was always a gobby cow with shit taste in men.

Sorry previous thread locked before I could reply. Yes it was the user Joan Collins fan club- what happened to her? So many juicy stories. Anyway think she was friends with brand and was very protective of him!
Wasn't she a bit of a Walter Mitty?
