ITV was good. Dramarama. Children's Hospital. Press Gang. Orm and Cheep. Trapdoor. Sorry to rub it in.
I was obsesssssssed with Children's Ward. So good.

I've heard of people not being allowed watch ITV, was this an English people quirk? In Ireland we were just glad of another channel. Frankly I'm embarrassed for any 80s child who's unable to recite the intro to Mallet's Mallet.

Did you ever see his sex tape in the 2000s? All I remember is it involved a lot of hair in mouths and has put me off watching him in anything ever since.

Edit- Colin Farrell not MB
I’ve found it! Oh my. he’s a decent sized lad! I’d climb that like a tree!

She's very ethereal looking. I used to think she was stunning in an unusual way but I think she's had buccal fat removal which does make her face look quite harsh.
She looks like Sid out Ice Age!

The not letting kids watch ITV is typical English performative class snobbery. I’d put money on these parents voting Tory as well

Not in my parents case, labour voting and working class through and through. What they couldn't provide in financial capital they tried to provide in cultural capital as they naturally wanted more for me, thanks to their efforts I was the first in the family to go to University

I was allowed to watch ITV as a kid and my mother is bafflingly in love with Margaret Thatcher and the Tory party in general

I grew up in England and me and all my mates watched ITV. I have heard of this thing where the occasional person wasn’t allowed because bbc was thought to be the best though. Mad really.

I was allowed to watch itv but I had a friend who wasn’t because on kids tv the adverts was all expensive toys etc and her mum couldn’t afford them so she made her watch bbc and I had to tell her about the itv shows or she’d watch it if she went to a friends house.

When i grew up the Telly only had BBC Only channel availabl, then years later itv started,if you wanted to view it you had to have your Telly commercialised, that’s what mum and dad did with ours.

it was a little box on side of Telly.

I’ve heard the reverse of this. My mum and her friends never watched Blue Peter as children because it was too posh and they couldn’t relate to it. When you look back it was very twee, plumby voiced Home Counties wasn’t it? I always thought it cringeworthy shit and used to get annoyed that Byker Grove wasn’t on instead.
