All I can think is that social services are aware that very little child rearing goes on. Most of it is done by the nannies. They are very overstretched so maybe need to concentrate on the ones with no buffer rather than the ones where the parents will get a tit hot lawyer onto them. Even Pearl Lowe had a nanny when all she was doing was getting off her face.This. How do very high profile drug addicts keep their kids no questions asked. It blows my mind

The mother, Lady Goldsmith? has a fascinating history as well. Apparently, the nightclub Annabelle’s was named after her, and her son from her first marriage Robin, had half his face bitten off by a lion at Damian Aspinall’s zoo. Also, there was a connection between Annabelle and Princess Diana, as it was at a party at Annabelle’s house, where Diana famously had “It out” with Charles and Camilla. I’m sure, that there were rumours that Diana was in some way related to Annabelle??..
Pearl’s another who flips between earth mother and drug addict. There’s a bit in her book where she leaves two of her kids downstairs so she can go and do smack (or dye her hair, I think she says) and when she comes back down, the littlest has gotten hold of a bottle of prescription pills and taken them! They had to go hospital so surely SS were aware. If that had been someone from a council estate, they’d have had their kids taken off them there and then.Hello new poster

What strikes me about Pearl Lowe is how many enablers she had around her, including Danny Goffey. Nobody puts their foot down until it’s almost too late.
Well Danny also loved the drugs, and Pearl said in her book, that she was so jealous that Danny could just smoke heroin when he wanted to - but never became addicted like her. But, you are spot on, it seemed to me when I read her book, that everyone around her completely enabled her drug use, and it was only when Danny was leaving Pearl to go on tour with Supergrass, that Pearl really kicked off, and Danny and Pearls mother took her to the Nightingale Clinic to get help. But even after getting clean, Pearl kept relapsing, and would shut herself away in her bedroom and just smoke heroin all day, and then light scented candles so the nanny wouldn’t know!!!
The kids would definitely been on the radar but as you say, the fact that they had staff to look after the children would have gone a long way. And I'm sad to say that the fact that they are white and wealthy means it would be virtually impossible to have their kids taken away from them. It never happens.
These earth mother types are always obnoxious, self absorbed twats from my experience. There was one I knew who I think fancied herself as a social media influencer type, and she used to prattle on about Veganism and was very proudly anti vac, lots of photos of her kids etc on local FB pages.I worked at her children’s school though, and there were serious safe guarding concerns and social service involvement.

They all seem to have enablers around them. If Danny Goffey wasnt an addict, did he not think 'hmmm leaving my tiny kids to be looked after by a heroin addict isnt the best idea!' Peaches husband and Geldof seemed the same.
On another note, I've only just got Pearl's book so I'm only on chapter 5. She doesnt mention anything at all so far about Gavin Rossdale being Daisy's father. Just that she told the other guy who she married that he was the father and they got married. Surely if you had slept with someone else you wouldn't call the bloke you didn't want to be with and tell him he was definitely the father. They had split when she found out she was pregnant. Did she tell Daisy Gavin was her dad after the book was published so she had to spin a yarn?

It’s all in there, I think. But she makes such a big deal of Bronner (?) being a tit dad in the first bit of the book but it turns out he wasn’t Daisy’s dad anyway. Makes you wonder what his side of the story is and whether he had some suspicions. I’m glad she was so honest in the book but I think she’s vile person. She’s comes across as a spoilt entitled twit. She knew who and what she was getting into when she met Danny. He had the far bigger career and talks about ‘our money’ and ‘I can spend as much as I like on whatever I want’, then throws a paddy every time Danny goes away on tour, to the point where he had to cancel a couple. Where did she think all the money was coming from?!!
She does come across as irritatingly selfish and self obsessed. I was wondering who 'Zoe' was and why the book was dedicated to her, but it soon became obvious! I'd have ditched her as a friend long before! Who needs that aggro in your life from a 'friend'?
No, it’s all in the book about Daisy and Gavin, but if I remember rightly, it was something to do with Daisy having a certain blood group, which then led to the whole “reveal” of Gavin being her real dad.
Does Peter ever give an interview where he does not mention that his wife is a Doctor, and he loves his kids very much, you know......
This is what bothers me about the easing of lockdown. In an ideal world everyone with symptoms would stay off work and away from others, but so many people are selfish and go out with streaming colds and sickness bugs. Covid won’t stop them sadly.

You’re right that Daisy did suspect that Gavin was her dad, but I think Pearl was trying to avoid the subject, that was until the blood group thing. If I remember rightly, I think after Pearl confirmed it, and then Daisy made contact with Gavin herself. Apparently, after the initial shock, Gavin and his then wife Gwen Stefani were really accepting of Daisy, and she had lots of contact with her half siblings. Not sure how things are now with Daisy and Gavin, as you hardly ever hear about him since he split from Gwen. Pearl now lives in Somerset, and started a business to do with vintage home decor. I think the only person from the Primrose Hill set to still speak to Pearl, was Sadie Frost, as all the others turned their backs on her after the book came out, but that was years ago, plus you don’t really hear about Pearl or Danny Goffey for that matter anymore.

I dont hear much about Danny Goffey at all or for that matter any of the Primrose Hill set apart from when Jude Law gets someone else pregnant but I have heard about Pearl occasionally. She does interior design bits in the sunday supplements, usually dragging one or both of her daughters along ( never the boys)
