Can you even begin to imagine the horrors in that family? Wasn't Saville obsessed with his mother in a Psycho type way? I can imagine she's responsible for her vile offspring's deviance.

I have wondered if he was abused by his mum. After she died he kept her body with him for a further 5 days and always waxed lyrical about them being the happiest days of his life. It was also suggested that he dressed other corpses in his dead mother's clothes and then had sex with them.

I sometimes feel like Savile's name gets bandied about on these sites too freely and it almost reduces what a monster he really was and creates a caricature. He sexually abused hundreds of children. He was even seen escorting the body of a 4 year old child to the mortuary and what he did afterwards is unthinkable. Imagine if that was your child? You'd probably never know if he you had lost your child and whether or not he had got his hands on their body. You'd spend all your time wondering without any closure. I hate talking about the man and I hate reading about him.

thats fine but yearbook is quite good evidence that she was female, as back in the 80s it wouldnt have been as easy for teens to transition.

If i had to guess I'd say it was the dad.

I haven't heard any stories about the dad - I actually barely know much about Jimmy Savile because I moved to the UK years after he was on telly. And yet, even with barely knowing who he was I still heard the rumours which is crazy. I had even heard about what he was getting up to in the mortuary YEARS before it all came out. Because I wasn't that familiar with him I just thought 'that's a tall tale that's got legs, that could never happen!!'. I think that's why when I hear stories I'm more incline to believe them now.

What disgusts me is that NONE of the people who turned a blind eye or permitted his decades of abuse ever saw a day in court. There must be dozens of senior members of medical staff on children’s wards right now who were involved.

I was told years ago that the McCann's were swingers and they were on a swingers holiday when Madeline was taken.

I was also told that Madeline was a 'challenging' child and Kate often had trouble controlling/disciplining her.

You know, I would not be surprised. They were 'dining' with a lot of people that night and it's just bizarre how they've all gone quiet and only said something when they were legally obliged to. If those were your close friends and that happened to them wouldn't you do everything and anything to speak up for them?? I initially presumed they went quiet because they'd all done the same irresponsible thing and left their kids alone but now I wonder.

Also, there is one thing that Kate has said that for some reason sent a chill down my spine. It's purely instinctual but it made me not trust her or her character. She said that if she was two stone heavier the media would have been kinder to her. It was a completely and utterly bizarre thing to say given the circumstances an made me think she was a complete narcissist with an overinflated opinion of herself.

The stories of the nurses telling kids to pretent they were asleep when he was around were shocking. I would never defend it but the NHS is rife with bullying. It's a toxic culture where you have to keep your head down and your mouth shut so as shocking as it seems, it doesn't seem out of place.
