Her ex husband was the most evil cunt imaginable. She had a tough life but thank god she outlived him.

It took her years to get back in the limelight after leaving Ike. It wasn’t until 1983/84 when she released Let’s Stay Together and What’s Love Got To Do With It that she gained her rightful place back in the Top Ten

Tina's death hurts.

She was one of the first concerts I ever saw at Wembley Stadium in 2000, when I was 7, thanks to my parents (who were, and remain, huge fans). I've never forgotten it. She was 60 years old with the energy of a 20 year old, and could run rings around the current generation of pop artists even then. She was the epitome of a strong woman given everything she went through at Ike's hands - and against all the odds, she came back as one of the most revered and successful artists ever, literally wiping the floor with him.

What a lady. What a legend. What a life.

Quite simply, The Best.

She was a big crush of my Dad, I feel really sad, her come back was during my teen years and a soundtrack to them. Her energy and performance was amazing. All hail Tina

Had Tina been ill? I wasn't aware. Wonderful woman, deserving of every accolade going.
I agree.

The word "legend" is too easily thrown around these days and bestowed upon people for the slightest achievements - but Tina was a true legend. She quite literally earned that title, against all the odds.

RIP Tina Turner and thank you for Nutbush City Limits which has me dancing like a loon every time I hear it

A true inspiration who bounced back from abuse and outshone her ex in every possible way. What a lady.

I didn't realise Tina had 2 sons die. One December just gone of cancer.
I also didn’t know that her husband donated one of his kidneys to her

From Sky News: Turner previously had intestinal cancer and a stroke, revealing in 2018 that her husband donated a kidney to save her life as she contemplated assisted suicide.

It's lovely that she found someone like that after what she endured in her first marriage.
