Hmmmm a car chase through central New York for two hours with no footage from passers by, CCTV images and no independent eyewitnesses.

I’m not a royalist or a hater of H&M but side eye to this story.
Exactly, I think anyone who has been to NYC or even has a remote bit of knowledge on the place knows things don't add up here.

Seems to be quite a lot of people not believing this story tbh do dont think its worked. Its quite comical really, a bit like when a kid tells their parents an overly convoluted story.

Sounds like a bit of a scrum but nothing like the press release stated. As always I don't know why they exaggerate when things happen to them. It does them no favours on believability.

New York Major said "I would find it hard to believe there was a two-hour. high-speed chase. But if it’s 10 minutes, a 10 minute chase is extremely dangerous.”

NYPD - 'Police said the pursuit was relatively short, led to no injuries, collisions or arrests and warranted no further investigation'

Former NYPD Deputy Commissioner John Miller said the NYPD wasn't participating "in this chase, meaning, this was not lights and sirens, going through red lights, at high speeds, this was a slow motion chase."

Cab driver - "The cab driver who drove Harry and Meghan said the photographers "were following us the whole time," though he wouldn't call it a chase."

Backgrid USA " photographers present reported that part of Harry's security escort "was driving in a manner that could be perceived as reckless.' "

When this story came out on the news they interviewed a cab driver whose car they got in, he said they (M & H) were nervous but there was no high speed chase, they were being followed but it wasn’t at a high speed. I have not followed this story, but this guy was one of their drivers (did they swap cars to evade the following paps?) that cab driver didn’t get the memo that they were being hunted and pursued!

I hope it’s everything Ant and Dec related. I don’t mind Dec, I just can’t bloody stand the big forehead knob he presents with.
Same. Ever since his arrogance that all would be forgiven over that drink drive incident I’ve gone right off him.

I once saw someone on reddit say that an age gap of 8 years was inappropriate and when I asked if that meant they thought 40 & 48 was unacceptable, they said yes because "the power imbalance is too great, and they are at totally different stages of life"????

You also get the ones on there who are like "Omg, I'm 28 and I couldn't imagine even talking to a 25 year old let alone dating one, what would you have in common?!"

I'm not bothered by age gaps when the younger person is a full adult with their own independent life/career/etc, but someone who has just left school being approached by someone old enough to be their parent is extremely questionable regardless of the gender and sexuality of those involved.
I was 12 years older than my husband, but he was always way more mature than me! 😁

See the Harry and Meghan thing, I wouldn’t say I like them (I despise anything royal related but can handle them since they “left”) but tit like this just makes me think, that bloody Dan Wootton must be loving this.

I would love for all the tea and tit to come about Dan Wootton.

No it will be WonderPerson
Wonder Them? (I love WW, read the comics as a kid, collected all sorts of memorabilia over the years).
From Popbitch. Eww. Just looked up his fingernails. They are indeed rank.
A Twitter poll asking users to decide who was hotter, young Al Pacino or young Robert De Niro, went viral this week, seeing over quarter of a million votes cast. The final result? Split perfectly, 50/50.
The DM red-voting brigade hated my comment saying Pacino looks more like Phil Spector (with a wig) these days.

Glad that Stephen Tompkinson has his life back on track. His girlfriend also went through a terrible tragedy at the same time too.

Al in fact played Phil in a TV movie a few years ago!
Still never seen that, should get that watched! (Though that's more of a dramatisation). Remember when the dlisted crowd were discussing it.

The recent documentary (Spector) on Sky Documentaries was really good.

There's a point (in Spector) where a security guy talks of flippantly mentioning Phil's various wigs to him. Apparently the air went cold and everyone stopped what they were doing. Phil looked him straight in the eye and replied, "This is my REAL hair".

Close friends with John Lennon too, though maybe that's before Spector went totally batshit - or maybe he always was.

In the same sort of vein (if you like eccentric music producers), Telstar: The Joe Meek Story is recommended as well.

There a a lot of gay lads in their 20s or so who are attracted to proper old men, like grandads. I don't get it personally but it happens.

I think a gay 46 can either be an older man who looks like he's about 30 or a slimy bloke who looks his age.

Gay people generally have their 20s once they're in their 30s so I can get it.

I think such an age gap raises an eyebrow though. If he was with someone in his 30s then fair enough.

But I also know a "38 year old gay man" who was "36" eleven years ago.

I worked with someone in his 40s but very youthful/fit who was really excited his boyfriend was coming into see him. He was about 70 and looked it.
Freaked a 21 year old me out!

Spector was a psycho even in the 60s. I read Ronnie Spector's book and some of the stuff he did to her was unbelievable. As for Lennon, a lot has come out about him in the last decade or so that contradicts the whole hippy/we want peace person he claimed to be.

I'm glad that the Get Back documentary showed who the creative driving force in The Beatles was - and it wasn't Lennon.

Gosh yes! Iirc Lennon himself said all the Beatles were absolute bastards to others, because it was such a pressurised environment and the clean-cut image was to keep the gravy train rolling.

I also seem to remember an interview with George Harrison saying something similar.

I’m still pretty convinced it’s DJ. I’ve heard some tales first hand from someone who worked in those tv production circles back in the day.
