It started as stuff about the Cambridge kids, their nicknames habits diet etc and Kate got fed up with it so they set H&M up with the false affair story to see where it went and bingo. When Harry found out they'd been bluffed to catch Migraine out he was furious at them and that was a big part of the falling out.

A friend of my husband's was one of the nicest guys ever, married for 10 years with 3 kids. Always seemed so in love with his wife and vice-versa.
He left her last year for a woman he met in their local supermarket (she worked there) Every single one of us was absolutely shocked when it happened. They would have been the last couple that anyone ever thought would split up and he certainly would have been the last guy that anyone ever even imagined would do that.
The point is no one ever really knows what's going on in someone else's life, and that's as a close friend, not as a member of the public. In this case the poor man's WIFE didn't even have a clue until he announced that he was leaving her.

Whenever you think something is just too impossible to be true - believe it. I believe the “expose Meg with faux affair story” The way William blanked her on the steps of the church one time, fussing with his scarf spoke volumes to me - he’s older wiser and not playing any of her bullshit games. She thought in front of the press she could force him to engage conversation - oh nut meg how terribly wrong you were.

There was a report I did read that William only settled on Kate as she is known to look the other way when Will cheated on her while dating. It also said that Will is more in a relationship with Carol than his own wife!
I honestly don't think that Kate would agree to an 'imaginary affair' being 'leaked' just in order to trip Meghan up.
That's something that's always going to be out there.
I certainly wouldn't agree to leaking my husband's imaginary affair just so that my sister in law could be caught out.
