Yes huge respect to Oliver for having the guts to write the book and also investigative journalism articles prior to the book deal. Green personally threatened him with all sorts. Presumably threatened Penguin with all the law suits etc.
While I reported on his scandalous £1 sale of the department store BHS and its subsequent collapse, he threatened to sue me, bankrupt me, punch me in the face and throw me through the window. To be fair, he also sometimes made me laugh. When I reminded him of the defenestration threat after the outrage had subsided, he rasped: “I think you like living on the edge. And there’s a small difference between ledge and edge. That’s all you’ve got to worry about, Oliver.”
