For his sake, I hope the book is written in an ironic tone - if he's being totally serious, oh dear. (He looks a lot better since he got rid of his infamous mullet, though). At one point in time Pat Sharp was everywhere on TV.

Martin Freeman seems like a dick

He and his ex made much of their socialist principles then got caught engaging in every dodgy tax dodge going!
When someone has loved someone enough to have a family with them, you do wonder about the newly rich and famous getting rid of the old spouse,( usually the wife, not always,) it suggests an imagined “upgrade“ on their part? Although not always I’m sure, it’s rather suspicious.

I don't agree with the way Ulrika has dealt with this either, so I agree with you on that. But, there is no "right" way to deal with sexual assault or rape. She is in the public eye - maybe she does want to keep people guessing. I couldn't see how subtle messages, as you see them, could be enjoyable for her or a game of one-upmanship, it must be very painful. We respond in irrational ways when we're hurt.

Maybe it's her way of owning the situation and having some control over it. Maybe it's just too deeply uncomfortable to say his name out loud. Not denying it was John, to me, is her answer.

Your insistence on seeing it through John's point of view is a bit concerning, though. Anyway, it would be Matthew Wright John Leslie should pursue if he fancied sueing anyone. And he hasn't. Don't you wonder why he didn't sue?

Edit: I've just looked at The Sun story posted above. FIVE police investigations either suggests he needs to reconsider the company he keeps, or he continually blurs the lines in his interactions with women. "He was alright with me" from female colleagues does not an impeccable character make. People change when they're in the right situation/mindset/company, helped by drink and/or drugs. Compulsions and kinks are only revealed in certain situations, and that could apply to consensual behaviour.

Don't get me wrong, if he is wrongly victimised, he would get my full support, as it's abhorrent to ruin anyone's career and character for attention (as you may see it). But I have plenty of male friends. I couldn't tell you what their fetishes/sexual tastes are, or if they're domineering in the bedroom.

I've heard some stuff about Martin Freeman being a grump or short with people but he does that cynical/hurtful/sarcasm/only joking thing so it could be that back firing with some people.

You've only got to look at his Hobbit out takes, aside from the FUNNY music, to see how you could go either way on him, is he being funny or does he secretly really mean it. One of those types.

In my opinion the reason he didn't confront Wright or Johnson, is because he didn't want to ruin his career further, remember what happened to Jason Donovan and the gay incident.

I kinda get what you'e saying, but as damage limitation moves go - it's the equivalent of MJ paying up to "make it all go away".

Allegations like that don't go away. John Leslie has NO career in TV. It just makes the public suspect he had something to hide, by not escalating it or trying to clear his name.

You probably know this already, but the threads about Nadia (and the rather worrying badgering of "fans" for money, who are suspected to be mentally ill, her messy house, sloppy habits) are all quite a read. She really does like the sound of her own voice and seems to be staggeringly un-self aware. Maybe she thinks it all makes her "relatable".

Wonder what the story was with her sister Julia, and the suspected family rift - all centred round Nadia, apparently.

I saw Saira Khan on In Therapy (Channel 5 programme) a few weeks ago. There's something about her makes her hard to empathise with. And embarrassing her husband publicly on Loose Women was pretty disgraceful (announcing on TV that he should go out and find another woman as she's got no libido nowadays). She did talk about her deep regret at that outburst, at least. Maybe the Loose Women panel all try to outdo each other, upping the ante, to see who can be the most outrageous and generate publicity for the programme.

(Edit: Oh yeah, and I forgot about Saira kicking off when Channel 5 used the wrong photo to promote the episode she appeared on). It was a mistake, she read wayyy to much into that and brought the "R" word into it, for good measure.

The only "Loose Woman" I quite like is Janet Street-Porter, she's always been the same, and doesn't seem to ham it up for the cameras or to peacock to bolster her ego.

Not watched LW for years, I only catch the odd media story by osmosis.

The nadia sawalha thread ón tattle is a brilliant read, many of the tattlers have been banned from her youtube channel for calling her and her out on their lies. It really doesn't suprise me that she indulged in the white stuff. Both her and her husband look like they are on sonething on their youtube channel. They both aged massively in the past couple of tears. I was thinking green stuff, hadn't considered white stuff

I can’t say I’m surprised if it true as she comes across as not a particularly nice person. I get a bad vibe from her. Seems overbearing and I still find it odd her and Kaye not speaking for years (apparently Nadia just dropped her then picked her up years later).

Perez is horrible and got called out by Micha Barton when they both appeared on the revamped (and terrible) hills a couple of years ago. He used to bully her online by posting stuff and fair play to her she confronted him about it on camera. He couldn’t stand the heat or justify his actions, so left.

I also like Janet but she proudly retells the same old story about her husband finding out she cheated on him over and over again. We all know you cheated and got caught Janet shut up about it now, no one is impressed

It's because he was still married while filming Rebecca. They both split from their partners ( wife and long term boyfriend) during filming I think. His wife found texts on his phone to a woman who's name was redacted. I presume people have put 2 and 2 together and assumed it was to her, but I thought he was messaging fans from his Official Instagram site. Surely he would have had her phone number if they were working together. Even if true , which I doubt, I think, although obviously still awful, if you meet someone, fall in love and actually leave your partner, it's better than cheating just because you felt like it and having no intention of leaving. I think Schillings cant stop papers publishing stuff about Dominic and Lily because it's true, but can about Lily and Armie because it's not true.

I really hate it when people do that. It's a real power trip for them!
