He’s an old Etonian isn’t he. In showbiz there’s the phenomenon of very young very mediocre posh people who think they are brilliant at everything.

I don’t think there is any dirt on him. There was a Popbitch blind about this when it was clear his health was deteriorating and he’d probably pop his clogs soon. The BBC were worried about doing a gushy tribute to him if he had any skeletons in his closet because they couldn’t risk the bad publicity after Savile and Harris, so they looked into it really closely and couldn’t find anything.

Re James Corden, I read somewhere that he does want to come back to live in the UK for his children's education.

It's face saving to say that, I think. He still has a big old house in Chalfont St Peter in Bucks as far as I know. He'll crawl back there, enrol his offspring in some posh private school and pretend that was the plan all along. Then he'll write another Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special (I'd like to see a G & S Pandemic special) and he will be back to be his usual obnoxious self, all over the talk shows and special guest on Loose Women and all that shit.

It’s so sad. For what seems like years now she has looked and dressed like a woman in her thirties. It’s so strange how she presents as much more mature than her age.

This is not likely to be a huge revelation, but a close friend worked as make-up artist in the industry for many years (including for some very famous production companies in California). She did extremely well financially out of it and got to see the world, although worked crazy hours and didn't have time to have a life outside of work.

She often says that fans would be extremely disappointed if they met their idols in real life because at the end of the day they are just ordinary people, albeit in a lot of cases with inflated egos. Just like regular workplaces there are the ones that distract and talk too much; the ones who do their jobs but otherwise keep to themselves; the 'in' crowd; the loners; etc. Even when you see stars at promotional events, they're acting - very few people get to see the 'real' person behind the mask.
