I just watched the end. I cried cause birth is an emotional thing.
All I’m going to say is that I had a baby just as big as her, who was posterior and didn’t have an epidural. It’s not an automatic thing that you’ll need one. (I also had two csections, and an epidural with other births so I’m not against them 😂)

So whats the deal with her epidural? Is she demonising it even while opting for it in her vlog?

I guess I just wanted to assure people that those of us that were touched by certain moments of the vlog (like her being overcome with emotion when he was born, or the inclusion of photos that normally wouldn’t be flattering enough for her) didn’t make us cross back over to the dark side. 😂
I was touched by the birth, but annoyed at her ‘look at me wErKiNg on maternity leave’ stories, all in the same day. 🙄
Also, I think a lot of us were expecting it to be a lot worse. Fox’s birth vlog had her criticising doctors, being overly dramatic about certain situations etc. She seemed a lot calmer this time around.

Anyway, I’ll leave you with some of the photos mentioned above, for your enjoyment. 😉
Awww, those photos are really touching! It helps explain the way people are responding. Also, thanks for not including anything graphic!
I'm glad that this was a much better experience for her overall, and I'm absolutely thrilled she didn't demonize the healthcare system and medical professionals this time around. Progress. Short-lived progress since she bitched her head off when Malcolm was admitted, but still, improvement from birth vlog #1.

And of course, no such thing as crossing over to the dark side. It's only a matter of time until her next scandal, anyway. Enjoy the feel-good interlude while it lasts! :ROFLMAO:

Not going to lie, that birth video was very moving at the end. Which makes her subsequent behaviour as a mother so strange - ie her neglectful actions towards little M. But it does underline something for me: and that is the fact that the way you give birth has no bearing on the way you parent, and this is something that I feel to my core as someone who (very happily) had an elective c-section. There’s this mythology around the pain of child birth which I think Sarah also bought into and why she had to explain her epi so much - I just think it is important for people to know that your birth plans and what actually happens is actually such a small part of your parenting journey, and you should do what is right for you anf your child, and not feel pressured into this earthy holistic experience if that isn’t what you want or need in the moment.

Hey guys. I am yet to recap since the birth vlog was released and I am 10000000% positive the Balenciaga hoodie has been discussed multiple times but LMAOOOOO “the hoodie really helped” is she for real? Babe a $10 hoodie from Kmart would have done the same thing. ISSA FUCKIN HOODIE. Anyway half way through the vlog now xoxo

I skimmed through but it it felt very culty to me that music??? That hoodie? The weird moaning? Also the baby isn't even big? He's basically the middle of average birth weight??? Like the way she claps for herself and they all go on he's not HUGE.

Oh also I thought she was going to explain some difficulties that he had and why they had to stay in hospital? Still getting vibes nothing is wrong with him but the sickness has made it easy to conflate for her so it still seems like that

Just on her being very different in the birth vlog to how she usually presents herself - I'm glad I wasn't imagining it. She seemed so normal and heartfelt. I'm thinking this is the version that Kurt fell in love with.

As someone who has/had PCOS, she shits me. I still managed to have several children, but yeah accidentally falling pregnant twice is not the typical PCOS journey.

I'm really confused about M's condition. Surely if his health needs were special enough to consider termination, then they would have at least had a pediatrician in the room with them? Or a special care nurse? It wouldn't be a run-of-the-mill birth with the bare minimum medical presence? Something is not quite right with that story.

Yep. One of my posterior birth bubs was a lot heavier and longer than M... So I think Sez is up to her old tricks of disinformation rather than being honest with her audience and saying she simply could not handle the pain.

I certainly saw that softer, more vulnerable Sarah in the birth vlog. And I was actually impressed with how she handled the first part of her labour (apart from wearing that ridiculoushoodie like some gangster teenager!). Moaning doesn't bother me at all...labour bloody well hurts like hellfire! And she didn't seem to me to be always "on" for the camera - there were times she was completely zoned out by pain or exhaustion, and her sheer emotion at the delivery was very real in my eyes. I sure doubt though that she could have made it to 8cm at home under ANY circumstances!! She seemed to have no overall stamina, regardless of being sick - it was almost like she expected a quick delivery and when that didn't happen, she caved. Yet her labour wasn't even that long, and she seemed to be progressing quite well - dilating 1cm an hour is pretty normal. Basically, she just couldn't handle a natural delivery. And please, don't take these comments personally - they are only about Sarah and meant only in light of how she built herself up to be the super mum who would have this super natural home labour and only go to hospital for the birth.
So when it all boils down, you stuffed up again, Sezzzie.

Yeah my second was posterior and I didn’t even know until she came out. Didn’t notice any difference pain wise except my back did hurt postpartum which it didn’t with my first so I assume that’s from her being “sunny side up”.
She definitely would still have had the epi even if he was the right way.
She can not handle contractions, she was already trying to convince them to give her an epidural at 5cm. There is NOOOO way she would handle the transition phase without one because that is hands down the worst part of labour. I don’t think there is anything wrong with getting an epidural but she is always so adamant about not getting one and then changes her mind as soon as she gets to 5cms.

To add: SHE LOOKS LIKE THE GRIM REAPER
I don’t know why but the screenshots she reminded me of ET 😂

I am absolutely disgusted that that basic, hideous hoodie is $1650??? On what planet is that reasonable?!

I cried because I’m a pregnant hormonal witch.
Also because I know I’m gonna have to do that in a few months 😵💫🥴

I watched on that site that wouldn’t give her an extra view because she’s a bogan ✌🏼

I didn't watch because I stopped watching all her YT videos after the appropriation (first time around) but I'm curious as a lot of you said the video skips from after her epidural to pushing. I wonder what and how long it was between then. I see a lot of people loving the vlog and I totally support that, but it's just difficult to see (on Reddit) a lot of people getting roped back into the content machine. It's interesting because Fox's birth vlog is what made her whole channel blow up, so I am assuming with this vlog being even more tender, Sarah will have a big uptick in followers who won't know her history.

The cynic in me wonders what exactly she cut out of the vlog.

I hate how she has to have a huge reason as to why she had an epidural . She did that last time . I think she’s incredibly insincere and no matter how much she says that she’s proud of herself deep down she hates that she needed one again. You’ll never get a complete honest answer out of her.
Like can't she just say "It hurt, it was painful and I wanted relief, thank goodness I had that option"

There is no shame in wanting medication ..... let's be thankful that is an option!

To me, one of the most shocking events of the blog was Sarah kissing Kurt. I'm just so used to their sibling energy that it almost felt comical to see them being intimate = Lannister twins (but without the great hair)
