In fairness lots of people who drive themselves even go in an ambulance, a Dr could have called for the ambulance

A lot of people are also under the impression that by going in by ambulance you are seen quicker not true .

Definitely not in all situations but if needed the ambulance crew can monitor on the way to the hospital until hospital staff get to triage and decide then how quickly the person will be seen
