Presumably there’s some evidence of Sara’s body having been outside - either because of something found on her body or because of blood or other fluids or scents outside - but I hope so much that she wasn’t jet washed. Why would you even do that? Absolutely awful.
In Islam you wash the body immediately after death.
I suspect they will claim that is why they jet washed her.
But we all know that is not the reason

But how often do you look out of your window just because you hear your neighbours outside? I don’t think responsibility for what they were doing lies with their neighbours
They were jetwashing at night, wouldn't that make you curious about your neighbours? I'd argue that the neighbours did have a responsibility to act when they heard a child screaming, with visible bruising

Have been lurking this thread for a while, sorry to talk about the “jw” (can’t bear to type it) but it makes you wonder what they had done to her in her final hours to motivate them to do that, especially as it was so risky and they’re clearly somewhat forensically/criminally aware?

I wouldn’t have even imagined this prior to watching that Netflix documentary about Sheree Spencer’s victim, SS defecated on him, I wonder if there was spitting/other bodily fluids involved in the abuse? I find the nappy thing an absolute oddity and I can’t help but wonder if the two could be linked in some way?

ETA - re the nappy thing, obviously making a girl that age wear one without “needing” it (eg a medical/developmental reason) is abuse, but I just find it odd that abusers would inconvenience themselves with doing that, especially as they cost money? Like there must have been a “purpose” for the nappies as clearly it wasn’t to help her manage.

The thing about jet washing is it’s noisy to a point but if you have it on high power, that would surely leave bruising or something on a body? If you have it on low, or you actually use a hose attachment and not a proper jet wash, it wouldn’t be that loud.

Equally, from the photo of the back garden, it could be at the side of the house out of sight of the adjoining neighbour.

I assume the inco pads were because Sara was restrained or locked in the room, or she was so unwell she couldn't manage to go use the toilet. Poor child, and they're all evil guys whether they actually did the abuse or just stood back and let it happen 😔

My assumption is it was some sort of attempt to protect the burn combined with less of a “mess” to clean up when/if she wet herself as she was likely unable to walk well (or at all) at that point. The truth under the lie of US saying he thought her incontinence was because of female puberty, she probably was struggling in that respect but because of the horrendous abuse and the effects.

Horrendous to even type though, they are absolute monsters.

As somebody pointed out up thread, the damage to her spine would potentially have made her doubly incontinent.

Goodness at the sentences we’re all having to type out here. RIP poor little Sara.

Idk if I’m insane for thinking this but I do just think it’s weird they’d have gone out of their way to source nappies for her, even with the “need” for them? Like if you’ve beaten your child to the extent they are now incontinent, why would you care for them to be (somewhat) clean in a nappy? It seems as if she was restrained/locked away for the majority of time so her soiling communal areas wouldn’t have been a concern either? Maybe it was the one caring thing they managed (after causing it :/).

Agreed re bruises, can’t remember where I read this as it seems niche but there was a warning re: cleaning children’s shoes with jet washers (like after a normal thing eg a family walk) whilst they were still on as they can break bones in their feet! I wonder if they chose it because there’s not then the remnant dna/etc left behind in the bath, plug hole, and pipes? Grim.

Someone said upthread the younger siblings were disabled, I wonder if so if they might have had nappies that Sara could have been put in. If they already had them around it’s a lot easier I suppose and any nappies lying around would equally be easy to explain away.

I thought 'how am I having to type this?' as I was typing it.

Regarding Sara being locked away, there were only 3 bedrooms so it would be a reach to think everybody had a bed, never mind somewhere to imprison a child. Ok, one was a baby and the cot is shown in the room with the double bed but that still leaves an adult and 4 children. There is no way that they didn't all know exactly what was happening.

Ahhh ok, yes that makes a lot more sense then and totally negates any of my 🤨❓! As I’d guess they’d have those nappies on prescription/bulk acquired, it’s not the huge expense and inconvenience of sourcing them.

Also contradicting myself but their home was eerily clean in that body cam footage, even accounting for a clean up post murder there were no scribbles or stains up the walls or on the carpets to suggest kids had played or eaten there (or at least freely). Maybe cleanliness was highly valued even if being anything close to a normal parent wasn’t?

You have reminded me that I was going to ask about the two children of BB who were disabled. Do we know if it was physical disability?
I can't help wondering if US was responsible if that's the case....did he shake them as babies for example?

I'm not sure the prosecution would say jetwashing if there wasn't evidence that the jetwash function was used, but I agree, it could have been at the side of the house as that wouldn't have been visible and probably is where the bins are stored

I’ve wondered that instead of her dying in the bedroom she was locked in the outhouse that’s been mentioned before. And thats why the poles were found in there and maybe the jet washed her in there out of sight?

Before this trial started, I thought it had the hallmarks of being one of the worst child abuse cases of recent times yet the stuff that has actually come out is far far worse than I could ever have imagined

I think you have a point there. I didn’t think they would want to spend any money on wee Sara, never mind the expense of the nappies.

That's where my mind was going. There wasn't room in the house to lock someone up for extended periods.

It might, it might not. Maybe the neighbours were out a lot, maybe it’s a rental house used for growing weed, maybe the neighbours also beat their children, it’s impossible to know. The neighbours from the last address didn’t get called to give evidence, I don’t think.

Apparently he was using the shed to carry out the beatings away from the house.

I think it was suggested that they left her tied up, so the nappy meant she could be left there without making a mess.
However she also had fractures to her spine, so perhaps she couldn’t stand well enough?
It’s also been mentioned she started to soil herself in the summer, and vomit. That could have been fear, stress or from some kind of injury?
Being beaten with a cricket bat whilst her hands and feet were tied (potentially with a bag over her head too) might cause her to soil herself
There‘s also the slight question in the air about CSA - bite mark on the inside of the thigh, iron burn on buttocks and US seems to have has a relationship with a 14 year old, that’s all a bit of a worry.
We will see what BB has to say about it all, apart from that it wasn’t her she didn’t do anything 🙄

Yup it’s actually up there with Victoria Climbiè in terms of torture.

On the nappies, it’s far easier and less labour-intensive for them to change a soiled nappy (and who knows how often they would have changed her) than it would be to strip and wash clothes and a bed. Assuming the children shared a room, nappies on Sara would have minimised smells too.

It wasn’t them caring - it was them doing the very minimum they could for their own convenience.

She was malnourished, she wasn’t huge to start with (from photos), and we don’t know what size the nappies were. She may have been in one that was bought for the younger siblings.
