Sara Sharif case

Every day this just gets worse and worse. There’s absolutely no way the uncle wasn’t involved if he had no knowledge of the extreme abuse inflicted on her when he walked in on her collapsed and clearly dying any innocent person would call an ambulance immediately despite what they said. Instead he stuck around whilst they stripped her naked and jet washed her dead body in the garden, disposed of his uniform in the bin and helped clean the house of any evidence and then ran away to Pakistan leaving a dead child in her bed. No one does that unless you feel you are just as culpable. Also where were the rest of the children when this was going on. The older brother messaged a friend to say Sara was dead so I can only presume he witnessed all of this which is just unthinkable. He needs to get back to the Uk and have some serious trauma therapy.
From the update today you can literally hear the disdain Urfans own lawyer has for him and even accuses him of just switching from plan A to plan B when it suits. Good on him!

The McDonalds uniform in the outside bin is pretty damaging circumstantial evidence for Faisal yes.

I appreciate it's probably an unpopular opinion on this thread but tbh I can't help thinking the other kids are better off with family in Pakistan at the moment because being thrust into the UK care system with basically a big sign over your head saying 'sibling of Sara Sharif' would just be horrendous.

Yeah he was just being mean. He didn’t intend to hurt her or kill her, he just wasn’t thinking. As he tied her up with tape in the shed, again, and beat her with a cricket bat.

This explains why in the police photos, the house was so clean and tidy and with hardly anything in it.

It didn't look like six children lived there.

US reminds me of a lad who was on trial when I did my jury duty. I won’t get into the specifics but essentially he had been told he legally couldn’t do ‘x’ but he’d done it. When he was questioned, he spoke freely about doing ‘x’ but he had a really good reason. He couldn’t seem to get that it didn’t matter why he had done it, it was that he had done it full stop that mattered.

He kept going on about the why, speaking as if it was obvious that anyone would have done the same etc etc. Worrying, one member of our jury agreed with him! It took patience to explain that it didn’t matter if he had the best reason in the world, he’d broken a legal agreement for which the consequences had been made clear when he’d been made subject of it.

Like someone said above, after it was all over and his previous convictions came out etc, he was someone who took advantage of the vulnerable over and over and was surprised each time he received legal consequences. He really seemed to think that he could persuade us because he was so used to persuading those more vulnerable than him. He was baffled by it not working.

How her family can go about their days knowing what was happening & not anonymously calling any emergency services. Shameful absolutely shameful.

The jury will surely be excused from ever sitting ever again.

If the family in Pakistan are taking decent care of them and are horrified by their son/grandsons/whatever relations actions I can absolutely see why they’d be incredibly hesitant to send them back to the UK - they’ve seen how child protection here has entirely failed them so far, what decent family members would want to send the kids back to be in the care system administered by the same people who failed Sara and her siblings so badly already?

Of course if they’re cut from the same cloth as US they also won’t want to. I pray for the children that it’s the former though.

Presumably there’s some evidence of Sara’s body having been outside - either because of something found on her body or because of blood or other fluids or scents outside - but I hope so much that she wasn’t jet washed. Why would you even do that? Absolutely awful.
