Likely Sara got blamed for every single thing in that house, regardless of what was done.

The texts are pure a covering, like she was cunning enough to realise teachers, SS or neighbours would inevitably report them. She was laying a deliberatetrail of deflection.
Why would a terrified and beaten child deliberately cut up her abusers clothes? The bite marks can only have been the stepmother...dad, older brother and uncle were forensically eliminated, and the other children presumably too young to match.

I can't even say what I'd do to my sister if she text me saying her partner was doing that to his child whilst she sat and did nothing. I certainly wouldn't say study the bible

Why would a terrified and beaten child deliberately cut up her abusers clothes? The bite marks can only have been the stepmother...dad, older brother and uncle were forensically eliminated, and the other children presumably too young to match.

Abused children do sometimes act out destructively but very rarely on the site of their abuse, they do it in a perceived “safer” space like at school. Teachers as part of safeguarding are trained to look out for this.

I agree I don’t think that poor little mite did ANYTHING bad at home she woulda been too scared. It’s a classic case of the culprit painting the victim in a bad light. Like Savannah Brockhill claiming that Star ripped up an important souvenir of Frankie’s or Kate McCann deriding her daughter as a “screamer” and “very needy”. Culprits victim blame because it eases the cognitive dissonance in their psyche and makes their actions easier to live with.

I think the timeline is that Sara goes to live with them just as they have got married (and presumably pregnant) I wonder if that is what BB “signed up for” with her secret marriage to US, or was it out of the blue.

We probably won’t find out the details of why the kids were sent there as family court stuff is confidential. I wonder if they tailed off the visits with the mother the same reason as taking Sara out of school. If only they had a decent social worker who could put 2 and 2 together. So many opportunities missed to protect this little girl. Beinash sister being the main one outside of that house.

We know she lost custody, my question really was about BB. Was she expecting to take on the step kids? Or was it a decision she resented?

Like I said earlier, BB framed SS for those things. Knew he'd go ballistic and watched as he eventually killed her. I think she took part in some parts of the abuse but for the most part, she had him do the dirty work so she could sit back and watch like some deranged psycho. Meanwhile she's planning her "innocence" in the text messages to the sister. She is just a master manipulator and he fell for it!

I think they had Sara as the black sheep. It's common in child abuse cases. The other kids are simply relieved it's not them and, being children, they come to believe that the abused child must indeed be genuinely naughty otherwise why would the all-powerful parents be 'punishing' them?

Sylvia Likens, Arthur Labinjo-Hughes and Logan Mwangi are all tragic examples of this dynamic. Sometimes the abusive parent will even gaslight/groom the other children into carrying out some of the abuse.

I agree and suspect that is part of the reason the other kids are kept abroad, especially her big brother.

It can also be a form of psychological abuse: having the other children be terrified of falling out of favour. Also keeps the other children quiet, in a divide and conquer kind of way, and further isolating Sara.

Well, they're still in Pakistan so we don't know but quite often one child will be singled out, so maybe not. With this bunch of no marks, who knows?

This is nothing to do with culture. No culture on earth condones the torture of children. Please let's not forget that, even though Pakistan has no extradition treaty with the UK, the Pakistani police hunted these animals down and forced them to flee back to the UK

I imagine culture is a factor in this awful case - Sara is female and mixed race. Do we know if BB's children with US are boys or girls?
