I think part of what makes Sammis new persona hard to accept is that it's the cookie cutter "bad
witch" vibe that lots of Gen Z-ers are into right now. It doesn't feel authentic.
I remember in the Summer she was reading Women Don't Owe You Pretty on her instastories. And since then she's done what loads of young women have done after reading that book (or similar feminist lite, motivational books) people call it "The Floss Effect". Here are a couple of examples:

Now, I'm not saying these revelations aren't real or true, or that the book hasn't helped them. But I do think Insta culture has made "empowerment" and "finding yourself" all about being a bad
witch who looks hot and doesn't give a
duck. When in reality, it's much more nuanced than that. It's kind of weird to see Sam acting like a sexed up teenager and barely acknowledge that her marriage has ended. It's like she feels she needs to put on this persona that gen Z self help books have pushed on her.
