Sammi Maria #2 Finally single, wannabe spiritual...still painfully delusional.

I really enjoyed her latest Q&A. She was a lot more articulate, I think her personality came through a lot and she didn't seem space-y, like she's seemed in some of her other videos lately. Hope they continue this way.
I also enjoyed her new video. In my eyes, Sammi has made progress since her split with Jason. Her personality came through the video and you can just tell she spoke from her heart. I wish her the best really!

I’m always a bit sceptical of women who claim to be bisexual or lesbian after a string of bad relationships with men. Sometimes I think it’s some sort of escape.

But then again, you’re never too old to learn about yourself, so if she’s bisexual, then that’s great too.
Looking back on this, I shouldn’t have said this. Sorry.

Seeing as people here found her Hinge profile, I'm suspect she's had a few hookups with women if she says she hasn't dated any.

Or maybe she's explored it through porn or even simply flirting with a girl on Hinge.

I can imagine if she's coming to terms with her sexuality but has only ever dated men, speaking to a woman in a flirty or romantic way solidified things for her.

I think it's common for people not to believe women who aren't straight because a) patriarchy and b) women in general are accepted as being more fluid as in they'll kiss a girl "for fun", hold hands etc etc then proclaim they're completely hetero. Whereas most hetero men wouldn't even dream of doing that.

So for Sammi, maybe being flirtatious with a woman in a serious way that could have genuinely progressed into something more made her realise that yes, she could be attracted to and even get into a relationship with a woman.

I think it's common for women to say they're bicurious and we can probably all flirt for fun but chicken out when tit gets too real lol.

I flit in and out of watching Sammi but I'm watching her Q&A video and appreciated what she said about her daughter not being for consumption (in response to people asking her why she wasn't posting stuff with Indie). I think we are so used to influencers essentially using their children for content and even to make money, that when someone doesn't showcase their child online people think something is wrong. e.g. here people were assuming that because she wasn't posting pictures with Indie it meant that Jason had her most of the time.

We need way more influencers to speak out about putting children's lives online (who cannot consent). There's some really weird dynamics out there and I think we are gonna see a lot of influencer's kids speaking out when they are older about having all their awkward childhood years distributed to strangers online.

Lol as a bi woman- I know this. Im just going on by the snippets that I have seen of her talking about sexuality. I don’t even know why I’m arguing when the woman herself has a came out as bi, but you go ahead nitpick at everything just because this is a trash thread:rolleyes:
Sammi is trash :)

Who is this woman trying to be lol!
It's honestly so cringey and I refuse to believe this is the real and authentic Sammi which has always been hiding behind a dominant relationship. It just screams crisis - She is sure to look back at this in the future with shame...

Like a part of me feels as though this is how she is trying to find herself after a divorce or breakup. However it comes off as not genuine, and her trying so hard to be a gen zer.

That was so cringe 🤢 She looks terrible too. Wtf is up with her skin?!
Her skin looks weird in her new vlog thumbnail idk if she had too much makeup on.

I don't know why her tiktok/ig thot persona makes me cringe so much. Maybe because it's not countered with maturity.

In reality she's only 31, she can be fun, flirty, sexy and playful if she wants. Anyone at any age in any life circumstances can.

Whenever I cringe at her I feel like a hypocrite because while I believe what I wrote above, I get second hand embarrassment from Sammi doing it.

Maybe because it seems like she trying to fit in with younger people rather than her peers? I dunno.

She's using that skin-smoothing filter setting on her new camera - it creates that flat, unnatural, moon-like effect.

Also completely misleading when she's making beauty videos.

I think part of what makes Sammis new persona hard to accept is that it's the cookie cutter "bad witch" vibe that lots of Gen Z-ers are into right now. It doesn't feel authentic.

I remember in the Summer she was reading Women Don't Owe You Pretty on her instastories. And since then she's done what loads of young women have done after reading that book (or similar feminist lite, motivational books) people call it "The Floss Effect". Here are a couple of examples:

Now, I'm not saying these revelations aren't real or true, or that the book hasn't helped them. But I do think Insta culture has made "empowerment" and "finding yourself" all about being a bad witch who looks hot and doesn't give a duck. When in reality, it's much more nuanced than that. It's kind of weird to see Sam acting like a sexed up teenager and barely acknowledge that her marriage has ended. It's like she feels she needs to put on this persona that gen Z self help books have pushed on her.

Sammi's also admitted that she spent most of her life seeking male validation and overvaluing romantic relationships with men, to the detriment of any female friendships.

Every time her relationships start going to tit, she tries on this feminist persona. It always feels forced because that type of male-centric conditioning just doesn't disappear overnight.

This!! it seems so forced and like what so many others are doing. I'm all for people having fun, but Sammi, it just seems like it's for attention and so it comes off weird.
Pulling all these weird faces like she hasn't had to practice them for so long lol.
