For some light relief of a friday pm:
Dancing to that at school discos. Ah the 80’s.

Regarding the "it's just the Brighton vibe and outsiders wouldn't get it" stance:

Would she say that to an elderly woman?
Would she say that to an immigrant who comes from a more conservative place than oh so enlightened Brighton?
Would she say that to a person of faith?

The outsiders thing has been bugging me since yesterday
Probably. She expects everyone to be as toe-curlingly, performatively woke as she is.

Appalling bullish behaviour aside, she here comes across as totally tedious and preoccupied with image and props to convey coolness. The sort of thing most people outgrow by the time they hit 30s. It’s rather tragic really.
Two men in full gear and leashes involved in broad daylight at a train station is not cool on any level- it’s driven by the same ‘look at me’ need for attention she is so obsessed with, that’s why it appeals to her.

I might be wrong (as unlike Sali I can admit this) but I looked through the replies and did not see this response she mentioned.
Agree. She was misrepresenting a reply that she didn’t want to answer - she quickly got out of her depth. She can only manage performative cool-girl wokery, nothing deeper than that.

Brighton (like many places) is a very divided town - it’s not some socialist utopia. I would argue that cities where rich and poor live closely together are more liberal - in Brighton you’re either comfortably off OR you live in Whitehawk or Moulscombe.

Still reading over the replies and they're the gift that keeps on giving
Her children are not fazed by the flaunting of an individual's private sexual kink , but are upset by the colour of a man's coat (Corbyn, navy. Still cannot get over this nonsense). She really should stop using her children for her unsound opinions.

Also, let's not forget that during the Freaky Friday rant she complained that her children's friends could google her and read embarrassing things here. By that same logic, could they not google her and come across her Twitter where she has used her kids as props to win an argument?

Ffs doesn’t she read her replies back to herself before she posts them? The snobbery and entitlement just oozes from that tweet. She does realise that the vast majority of the population don’t get to pick and choose where they live? Privileged twit.

"It's the vibe people choose when moving here"

Can imagine the conversation between a prospective Brightonian viewing a property and an estate agent.

"What are the facilities like? Are there many schools nearby? Is the train service reliable? And what's the likelihood of encountering fetish played out in public? Part of the vibe, you say? Great, where do I sign!"

I’ve only been to Brighton once and it was a curious mix of vegan/crusty new age types with kids with unbrushed hair, hollow eyed drug users and hen/stag tourists.

She just talks rubbish. It is embarrassing. I live surrounded by Tory farmers. I did not move here for that "vibe". People choose to live in the same area for many different reasons.

I am perfectly happy for consenting adults to do whatever they like. I just do not necessarily want a preview of it at the train station. It is okay for some things to be private. It would not offend me, but it may offend some, and that is ok too.

Yes, Pragya.

Sali et al, take note.

That's the thing, she thinks she's deeply out there for being so open minded for eg public displays of kinks but then talks of awfully sexist and regressive things like maintenance shags.

Did it actually happen though at all ? It's like she she woke up yesterday and said to herself "right who can I have a go at today, and how will I do it"
She's always conveniently in the right place at the right time
