I'd like to connect somehow out of this group. I am on IG. As I don't know many women who have been diagnosed late like myself. If you feel comfortable with that please let me know and I can give you my IG tag or I am fairly easy to find tbh.
I've sent you a PM via Facebook Messenger. It probably will appear in your Other folder so may not be immediately obvious. My profile pic might strike a chord with you!

Me too re. anxiety! I found mine got worse and HRT has helped it enormously. Testosterone was the magic bullet for me, ditto progesterone. I find oestrogen tricky so take the smallest amount possible.

Hope everything starts coming together for you 🤗
Thank you! I've got prometrium too. I took it for a month, but noticed no change one way or the other, so I stopped. Never had a hot flush or any other classic meno symptoms, so I think my E dose is good for me and I don't really want to drop it lower because I want to protect my bones, brain, heart etc. Surgical menopause is lifelong unfortunately

I think it's quite brave of her to do it, I'm battling the greys as much as I possibly can and kudos to anyone who can handle the ageing process better than me!
Not sure why we need to know about it in so much detail though...

Have you tried upping protein in your diet. I’ve found it’s really helped with the symptoms you describe in the last few months. Supplement with powder protein collagen and aim for 60g a day between food and the supplement. Michael Douglas the hairdresser had a very informative live in his IG with a hair loss specialist specialist a few months ago and she talked at length about aiming at that amount of protein for hair health. I find my joints and overall energy much better too.
I've not tried that. I do use whey protein when I am lifting, but I've been too tired and sore for that for weeks now. I don't eat a lot of meat, so probably my protein intake is around 40mg
ETA: I do take collagen peptides when I remember as well

So true! I did that once. Long hair that needed a big chop anyway. So we fried the last 20 cm with bleach and went to town on it with directions. Pink, blue etc. It lasted for about 2 weeks and the breakage was bad but we had planned to cut it all off anyway. Doing that on hair that you want to keep is a gamble. My hair felt plastic, basically exactly like Barbie hair.
Wow! Yes even with microlights you can tell that some of your hair has been bleached and has a different texture. If you try that and don’t like it, then you know not to fraz your full head...

Maybe not tomorrow but in the not too distant future for sure? Wasn’t the trend for classic french manicure soon followed by black tips, silver tips, glittery tips etc? She’s doing a run through of all the options now, paid for of course, and will write a column on the trend soon I’m sure

have they checked your thyroid? Hair loss can have so many causes for me it seems to point to a double whammy of underactive thyroid and not enough vitamin D (which probably both influence each other anyway). My doc will discuss the results with me next week but I got the numbers from the lab.
Yes, thyroid was in normal range (but not optimal). I'm not sure about my D. I do supplement

I’m getting strong Hilaria Baldwin vibes from our Sal. We need a PI to really dig and find out about the backstory- would love to know the real deal.
