I loved desperate scousewives although half of them weren't even scousers! (Joe, elissa, Layla, the blogger one)
It was well entertaining and no idea why it never made it, like I said if TOWIE hadn’t been on then I think DS would have made it.

My husband despises these three ! I actually don’t mind them, Adam & Scott do actually come across that they work for a living, Ryan not so much ! Anyhow he refers to them as Jason Grimshaw, tit Jason Grimshaw (Adam) and nobody Jason Grimshaw (Scott). We live Cheshire way & we went to Adams restaurant in Gatley for lunch & I will say it was lovely, Scott was in there & was chatty & seemed really pleasant. However I can appreciate that they are not everyone’s cup of tea.

I’ve actually met Scott (he came into my work) and he was one of the nicest people to come in. He was polite and made conversation. I had a really good impression of him. However....they all make me cringe on Instagram 😬 they are So over the top and Dramatic!
second this I’ve met him a few times and he is absolutely lovely. Used to be a major party boy but seems to have really turned his life around

Omg I loved Desperate Scousewives! I met Elissa a few years ago and she was lovely. She was saying how there is nothing real about it and every single word they said was written on a script. I didn’t like Ryan but he did go up in my estimations when he was in Celebrity Big Brother. I know it wasn’t filmed 24 hours a day but I thought he came across as a really nice lad and he handled the Roxanne stuff well. I have a friend who knows Scott really well and said he’s lovely. Don’t know much about Adam but he did come across well on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

I read he is a photographer
Oh my god! I hope he isn’t taking pics of people!

It was brilliant wasn’t it?! So much more entertaining than TOWIE and they were dressed better than the Essex lot too!

I remember them saying that in Liverpool then it’s quite normal to see women walking about with curlers in their hair, can anyone from Liverpool please confirm or deny this?!

In Edinburgh then we just don’t dress as glam as some English cities, I know not all women in Essex and Liverpool dress glam but there are lots, and they all had beautiful glam houses! Even though crushed velvet was more Essex.😂😂

I’ve spent a lot of time in Liverpool city Center the past few years. Rollers I’ve seen, but the main one is that horrific lip fillers are everywhere. You honestly spend a lot of time looking at faces and being shocked how unnatural and freaky they look. So many of the locals have the same generic featureless blown up faces now
The house thing has gone crazy too, even the most run down areas have at least one shop selling the crushed velvet sofas and glass tables at extortionate prices. The women will swear they live in a million pound house when it’s a standard estate three bed

In Edinburgh then I can honestly say I haven’t seen anyone with lip fillers, so strange that different cities have their own sorts of things where everyone will have it done.

Yep, walking round the shops on a Friday or Saturday with curlers in is definitely a thing. With lip fillers, thick tattooed eyebrows, bright white teeth that look like chewing gums and rubbery looking lip fillers. Don’t forget the eyelash extensions either!

Is it still a thing to wear pyjamas as well as rollers when
they go shopping ? I know it was a few years ago, saw it with my own eyes !

Did anyone see him in neighbours? If not, its worth trying to find in YouTube. The acting actually made me laugh out loud, absolute rubbish!

In Edinburgh I can 100% say I’ve seen many people with fillers. They’re maybe just a bit more natural but absolutely still there lol

If they are natural then how do you know they have any? Also I actually meant there is nobody in Edin that looks like anyone from TOWIE EVER!!

I’ve spoken on to Scott on the phone through work and he was absolutely lovely, very friendly and polite. I know what you mean though about Instagram 😬

I think something changed with Ryan and Tina’s relationship when he got with Lucy, they used to comment on each other’s Instagram etc then I’m sure Tina unfollowed after the Dubai scandal with Lucy or around that time anyway
What was the Dubai scandal?

All over the world people are having lip fillers. It’s all how they’re done, some prefer the more natural look, others prefer the bigger the better. I had mine because my top lip disappeared when I smiled and now it doesn’t. Also all depends on your aesthetic practitioner, what they use and how they use it. I’ve been having filler and Botox for nearly a decade.

I suppose it’s very possible that the Corrie cast want to live just outside of Manchester.

Is Manchester like Essex in the way of most females all walking about dolled up to the 9s even through the day or not?

Anyone live in Essex here - are all the females, or the majority, like the TOWIE lot, in the way of surgery etc etc?

I walk about in jeans and trainers the majority of time when off work and I would feel completely trampy and weird in Brentwood in all honesty...
I grew up in North Essex, so was really intrigued when TOWIE first started (even though it is filmed in South Essex) and I genuinely didn’t recognise anything about how they dressed or behave. I didn’t know a single person who wore full makeup in the gym or was botoxed to the hilt.
Oddly I once saw Jodie Marsh in my old hometown around 2010 and only noticed her cos she looked like she’d been rolled in Wotsits and was wearing a coat that looked like Big Bird had been skinned! She looked ridiculous 😂
