Hello all, I've been lurking for a while. Her latest post beggers belief. I did email the company and they made her delete it:

This is their reply

Thank you for your message.

We agree this is disappointing and were made aware of this today, following which immediate action was taken.

The influencer concerned has been liaising with our agency and has now removed her sponsored post. We understand that she used Pregnacare Pre-Conception and was really pleased with it.

However, it's important to us and our customers that influencers, whether sponsored or appearing organically, are really benefitting from the product at the time of posting, so thank you for drawing this to our attention.
Did RVK not use their stuff or something???

She's got some cheek to promote a product she didn't use and think it's fine to get cash for that.

She's clearly deluded and doesn't have a good grip on reality if she thought that was ever gonna fly. Whatever agency they used should be in the tit for approving the post.

Now she won't get paid for it and has a backlash.

Just like every other infuencer she'll promote anything even if she would never touch it and only use a far superior brand.

Just like all these people that promote Olay, but when not being paid only use high end brands.

That is brilliant. RVK was a greedy little tit to take their money and I'm glad they made her pull it.

I wonder if she properly declares all this for tax too? I ask because she has this other account where she is selling her clothes. I notice she wants the payments by PayPal friends and family. So no fees? This has interesting implications I'd assume. Because her 'business' account (main) is promoting tge sales items. Surely she has a bit of a dodgy line there.

Good ethics on the part of the Vitamin company then.

Now the Scandiborn free tit that arrived yesterday, when on this thread did I “write it down on an envelope and date it” fishing 🎣 post??? Didn’t take them long then.
She seriously must be laughing at them when the package arrived 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yasssss I’m so glad she got a bollocking. A vegan wouldn’t promote meat so why should she promote something she doesn’t even use?

She’s such a rat

Ok. Just caught up. She is such a brat. She was basically saying "you peasants can't afford the expensive ones so here are cheap ones that I've never tried."

The company won't have paid her yet. They don't do it until the campaign is posted and approved by them. They will probably blacklist her.

I doubt she declares it properly. Even gifts are meant to be declared as income.

I have never known anyone like her, who cannot take any constructive feedback at all. She is beyond! Those comments left by Heather regarding ‘vitamingate’ were very polite and not in the slightest bit rude and yet RVK throws a hissy fit and deletes all comments she views (incorrectly) as being negative. MOD gets a lot of criticism on Instagram, but she never deletes negative comments and on a few occasions has gone on stories to explain herself and admit when she’s got it wrong. I doubt RVK has ever admitted anything she has done wrong or even apologised for anything in her life!!! She has been wrapped up in cotton wool and is unbelievably spoilt. She is extremely wealthy in her own right and so are her family. She does not need to be making money on Instagram, but it just shows her utter greed that she continues to do so. I’m afraid that her deleted ‘paid partnership’ post regarding the vitamins just shows what little respect she has for her followers and how selfish, greedy and unrelatable she really is. Also, don’t get me started on the babymoons and the constant holidays. She needn’t post pictures of every holiday she goes on. She must realise that most of her followers will be lucky to go on one foreign holiday with maybe a few weekend trips thrown in throughout the year. She is constantly on holiday and they are always luxurious - what would be once in a lifetime holidays for most people. Not even celebrities have so many exuberant holidays!!!
She needs to wake up and smell the coffee big time. As someone else said upthread, the tide is beginning to turn, and not a minute too soon!

So is this her selling gifted items to make even more cash? Surely she needs to declare that income (and the gifts even if she doesn't sell them)? Why not donate unwanted gifts? Why not use her contacts to find local charities who support those in need? She has no concept of real life at all.

Maybe she'll venture north for one of her next babymoon. I noticed she's never been North of the Cotswolds. I'm sure we can find her a Scottish beach sunset for obligatory heart hands and ice cream shot 😏 For a travel influencer, her trips are so samey and uninspired.

I don’t post very often, but The advertisement this morning shocked me. False advertising at its best.

1. I have always used Vitabiotics and they are not cheap to buy. The message this morning on the photo, was they are more affordable..... but to many they will still be expensive. It read as though Vitabiotics were second best and I believe I read a comment where someone stated that’s how they felt.

2. Given that the company have allowed someone to promote the vitamins when they are not taking them is awful. The research should have been done. Yes they’ve now pulled the ad, but it still happened.

That is false advertising and to me sums up exactly what is wrong with our current advertising and promotions and social media influencers (not just RVK). Anyone can like many brands but if you aren’t using it then how can you promote it to a consumer? You cannot!

Bloody well done you! How annoyed must they have been with the vitamin company she actually uses offering a promo within the comments lower down. They all want to make money from Instagram but without any accountability or transparency. As someone said up thread no one asked her to share every single detail of her life. She can’t even do a story about a toy without tagging the brand and company FFS. What even was the point of her ‘I miss kind fluffy Instagram’ story?! Just to attract loads of “oh you’re doing such a great job Rebecca”... “you inspire me” ... “I would never have thought of going to Norfolk until you went” from the fawning masses 🙄

Nah, we don't want her 😂

She only has herself (and others like her) to blame for Instagram not being the fluffy friendly place (or whatever inane rubbish she said) anymore. Influencers has sucked the joy and simplicity of the platform with their greedy, shady ways.

I would love an influencer to promote the cheapest way of doing things - even if it was so you could spend money on other things. I don't buy into any expensive vitamin crap. You need folic acid and a healthy diet that's it. 99p folic acid from Poundstretcher would suffice.

When I had my first baby 16 years ago all I took was folic acid and she’s turned out alright 👌🏻 There just wasn’t the choice then and like you say, a healthy diet too is sufficient

This from the woman who on this very thread stated that IG was a edited "highlight reel", she completely conflates any criticism of influencers business practices with critcism of them personally.

This article was an interesting (although slightly biased) read, influencers bemoaning the commercialisation of IG: https://www.google.com/amp/s/en.vog...cers-bloggers-sparking-industry-downfall/amp/

Aww poor little ferret face had to delete her post because mean and nasty people gave her the slightest bit of constructive criticism. We all know the kind of person she is, rotten and self serving. Please Rebecca, do go into a private bubble, make your Instagram private and bog off.

This has to rank as some of the worst infuencer behaviour ever. Promotes a suppliment brand even though she hasn't taken it but thinks as it's cheaper than what she actually takes it might be better for her plebian followers. Then tries to turn it around that shes just promoting the concept of taking suppliments. The whole point the brand paid her is to build their brand, else you might as well take something generic own brand that's 95% cheaper.

Then comes on to moan that people asked reasonable questions and takes zero responsibility for a business Instagram account. Probably gets more in freebies alone then the average person makes in a year along with lots of cold hard cash.
She is an absolute idiot. She obviously isn't very smart. I think what she did is atrocious but she didn't have to admit that she never tried the product. If she didn't say anything, no one would have known. She could have said "I was sent these so I am trying a different brand right now." etc. She really shot herself in the foot.

Her problem is, is that she hates declaring that she was sent things. I don't know why so many influencers hate to declare stuff, they should be proud that companies want to work with them. The only thing that would make sense, is that they don't want to declare it in their taxes.

I have just read her blog on how to frame a photo or cut a picture with a guillotine. I find it insulting that she presumes anyone reading her blog wouldn’t know how to do that or would need step by step photo instructions. Does she really think there is a need for that? Maybe she thinks us common folk just stick our photos on the wall with sellotape 🙄 such a pointless blog post.
