I think Miss Patina must be ethical given the prices and the fact Ruby justifies every item of clothing she wears as being '10 years old' but doesn't do so when showing clothes from them. I've never really looked into their clothing but just from the website the prices are crazy.

Yeah, I could understand rewriting notes if it was the whole condensing them down thing, but I think Ruby is fully just doing it for the aesthetic and I do not understand
yes! like i would take notes from the whole term or half term and condense them down and just use those. i think she likes the dark academia aspect of rewriting notes but its honestly so impractical.

Why is she doing what looks like chemistry?? She’s an English student and I swear she didn’t even do chemistry A-level. Is she so obsessed with studying that’s she giving herself even more work??
Probably a video about a levels

Are there 30 credit modules for a 2nd year? At my uni it’s all 10 and 20 credit modules - the dissertation is double but I don’t think there’s any higher than that. Even if that is what she’s doing, then the amount she shows herself studying is insane for just two modules
I never had 30 credit modules in second year, so I'm intrigued what Ruby meant, but I definitely heard her say she is doing two modules.

She pretty much admitted that she's one of those students who over-shares (to the detriment of other people's contributions).
Yes she said she held back on speaking too much because of being conscious of being on speaker because of being remote. I can imagine her being enthusiastic in class.

Edit:
If I have found the right course then I stand corrected, the modules seem to be 30 credits each...

So she says aca-day-mia but doesn’t say aca-day-mic?

academic- aca-day-mia
academia- aca-day-mic

She says aca-dem-ic. Why I care I don’t know 😂
Yeah this bothered me too 😂was wondering if I had been saying it wrong all this time.

Ahhhh sorry for posting so much, I just watched the video and the outfit ideas...They were all kinda ugly or ill fitting - there's intentionally oversized and then there's just too big. Also those shorts :(
The last outfit with the polo neck was cute though
Oversized pieces can work, but only if they are paired with true sized pieces too. I also don't know if this bugs anyone else, but the way she puts her hands on her waist (with her wrists facing outwards and palms on her back) really riles me.

Guess that clears the pronunciation thing up
Is it really a dialectal thing though? She has tried desperately hard to eliminate the accent her sister and parents use, and yet decides to keep the regional pronunciation of some words? Doesn't really add up to me. Especially given that she also pronounces other words wrong which don't have a regional variant (such as the author Daphne De Maurier's surname).

Did Martha definitely go there too? I always got the impression they went to different schools, for some reason, but maybe I just can't imagine Martha in that setting!
She left for college in 6th form I think

I know Ruby’s school very well and it all makes sense now 😅 all explains why she is the way she is

It went to a good comp and managed to get a 2:1 from a Russell Group. I’d be furious if I were her parents and paid so much for education for Ruby to be the way she is. She lacks all the character private schools are known for instilling.

does anyone know what her parents do? I knew that they were wealthy but I didn’t realise they were THAT wealthy. To put both of them through private school at £28000 a year is crazy. That’s nearly my year salary!
As far as I know her dad works in finance in London (So good money there) and her mum does a lot of odd things, I think she was an opticians assistant, among other things. I reckon they probably come from money too

Okay so I found her parents linkedin, I won't link them here but her dad is a stock broker (has been at the same company for 20+ years according to linkedin) and........

Doesn't she work with a management? If so, shouldn't they guide her about those kinds of contents? I totally agree with the poster above who said maybe she thought it would be a great opportunity to "help people", in the most naïve way possible.
Yeh the same management as Jack and Jade and Eve C. I think the unite adverts were the management's direction. I think they are called "sixteenth" or something.

I think she’ll have saved it all herself, a smaller influencer than her would make about £500-1000 for a few Instagram posts, ruby will have raked it in with her long term sponsors etc! She will have 100% made enough to buy somewhere expensive on top of her student finance, I bet her parents helped her invest her money in the right places rather than giving her any money
You're probably right, I still forget she's had a fair amount of sponsors as well as her side business 😁 Must be nice, I can't even think about buying a house without the thought of a mortgage depressing the soul out of me.

I could see her doing an MA in something like Children’s Literature and then going into publishing or editorial work - she reads a lot of YA and juvenile literature so she might as well embrace that and study it too. I can’t see her enjoying a PGCE beyond the study aspects, and I don’t think she’d like classroom practice at all. As for an academic career, you need a massively thick skin to go down that route as it’s endlessly competitive. Lots of MA and PhD students think they will have an academic career but the reality is very different!
I agree. She really couldn't manage in a classroom as the constant scrutiny would push her over the edge.

Ahh no way! I’m doing American Studies (well taking a year out because I can’t go abroad this year) 😭 what did you study? I’ve no idea why Ruby is doing 2 30 credit modules,I couldn’t cope only doing 2!
omg thats my course AND uni 😭

EDIT: Im a graduate now tho, I don't understand how she does so much work for her classes ... perhaps I was a lazy student, but I don't remember doing as much as her.

Omg I lived next to a pair of guys and one of them would always forget their keys and literally would bang on the door (sometimes not even his own lol) at 2am. #unilife
Ha ha. My first year halls bedroom was right next to the campus taxi rank, about 10 yards away... there was always a hum of taxi engines running all night... and students wobbling back to their flats once they got dropped off. Lol.
