I had a red version of her yellow dress as my primary school summer uniform! It just seemed like such a forced tea party so she could play pretend and dress up. Her rice pudding looked so sad. In a previous post she mentioned rice pudding was a traditional Victorian nursery food so maybe it is another way to push the childish image. Although I don't know why she's obsessed with Victorian children, the majority had an awful life with hardly any education and if they made it past their childhood they were lucky, so again she is only giving a limited upper class perspective on life at the time!

This, at least in my previous post I was referring to the fact that so many people get worried about her on the basis of how "sick" and skinny she looks when she doesn't really look unusual for me - saying that as a person who constantly gets comments how my bones stick out and about looking sickly pale when it's just the way I am. Her eating habits (or at least what she shows on sm) is a totally different story tho.
I had a blue version of her dress for Infant school then a red version for Primary I wore them with my frilly socks and my hair in pigtails!

'My very favourite' is such a babyish way to talk. She needs to grow up. I'm also wondering how she found that painting given that it's very obscure and not easily findable on Google. Probably through one of her 'little girl' Pinterest boards. I dread to think who else looks at those boards.

There are multiple leaf crafts and all are aimed at 6-8 year olds.
Those are literally children.
Like surely she can see a 20 year old should not be interested in this stuff unless they have a child themselves or are a kindergarten teacher?
It's irritating me about people saying Ruby's life is so dull is that haven't they heard it is still lockdown in the UK if you didn't know ! WTF do you expect her to do ? We can't go partying, everywhere is shut and people have to entertain themselves at home and exercise and that's it. I do wonder what planet you people are on...oh let me guess planet America possibly !?
The other thing that pisses me off is people insisting she has to wear clothes they think are 'normal'. Why should she wear things you like, she can wear what she wants. At least she wears something different not just leggings and trainers and the boring tit you lot think she should wear.
3rd thing is the self righteous who say she should get a 'corporate' job like theirs. WTF should she, she has an internship, it's lockdown and she's a university student. I mean please GET REAL about what it is possible to do in the UK at the moment !
There's interesting critique of her channel, her possible ED which I think is a real possibility. Yes she minimises her body in photographs and shows ridiculous 'meals' that aren't even adequate and always takes her hairband out in the field so she can twirl her hair around which is very unspontaneous and all that.
But people saying her life is dull ? It's more than many people have here now, she has family, she has countryside and dogs, she has her work and her youtube it's really not dull in comparison to many people's lives here in lockdown !

Ok hi everyone, I’ve been lurking on these threads/following the train wreck that is Ruby for a while now. After seeing today’s Insta post I decided I couldn’t hold back from joining here because dear god I feel like I’m watching a girl’s mental breakdown in real time. I don’t think there’s anything...sinister...about her obsession with “girlhood” but I DO think she’s genuinely regressing and desperately needs intervention.
Also FWIW I live on Planet America and had to move back home after losing my job due to Covid. There’s not much to do here either but I’ve yet to resort to frolicking in the garden...

Looool idk if you’re referring to my post or someone else’s but I AM FROM THE UK lmfao yes I understand how lockdown works and we’re all working with the same shite situation I get it. Never said her life was dull because she doesn’t make the most of it or get out and about, just that from HER perspective it seems dreary to never indulge in any sort of light entertainment. Maybe Ruby really does get all her fun from reading / research / study and exercise but if that was me I’d be going BONKERS.. nothing wrong with lazing about doing nothing for a while or watching some telly but the way Ruby presents her life it’s like she either feels she’s above it all and doesn’t consider it a worthwhile use of time or she just doesn’t show that side in her videos (which is promoting a really crappy illusion of ‘productive’ life for young followers if true lmao)

I'm from the UK and this isn't something new. She's been doing this kind of thing pre pandemic too. Lots of people are using lockdown to do things like volunteering (eg food runs for vulnerable/self isolating people - I used to do that), reading (and by that I mean grown up books, not the same children's stuff she constantly reads), cooking, cleaning, going for long walks etc. There are things to do other than twirling around the garden and recreating Victorian routines. She also seems to have barely any friends, which is sad. We can't meet people in person (although we now can, outside!) But there's nothing to stop online socialising.
If you'd read the threads, you'd know that many of us like vintage fashion and are just sad at how sloppily put together she is (especially when so many of her clothes are gifted). Plus...we're a gossip site. She is entitled to wear what she wants, and we are entitled to comment on it. What's disturbing is that many of her clothing choices fit into her recent unhealthy obsession with age regression.
I don't know anyone who's told Ruby to go into a corporate career? What we have said is that she seems to have no plan about what to do when she leaves uni and, until the internship, very little interest in getting real world experience.
Would you say that about someone who wasn't a young white woman?
