I'm bored and want an update. 🙏
Well, Trinity Term officially ended yesterday and she only uploaded 6 videos for the whole of the term despite saying that she was hoping to upload regularly during this term. Of the 6 videos that she did upload this term only 3 of them were to do with Trinity Term as 1 video was when she was back in Exeter with Blakeney which was before Trinity Term even started, 1 was a writing routine which had nothing to do with Trinity Term and the other video was the iPad which nobody asked for despite Ruby saying that she had received many requests to do this video plus like the Exeter video this was also recorded before Trinity Term even started. I have to admit I find it really strange as to why she hasn't upload anything in the last 2 weeks as she would have had time plenty of time to film a new video espeically when she only had her dissertation to do.

I absolutely relate to dissertation stress. I didn’t do one for my undergraduate but it was a requirement for my masters. Well when I say I got a pass I’d say I was pretty lucky. I simply didn’t have the skills to plan, research and execute a dissertation. Hence my fascination with virtually peering over the shoulder of studytubers even though I’m not sure I’ll undertake any more studying.
Having said that I never would have put myself forward as academic/ study influencer.
it feels like Ruby has painted herself into a niche and while the ad/spon/ YouTube money keeps rolling in it’s hard to break out.

It never ceases to amaze me how Ruby allows golden opportunities to slip through her fingers. She went to uni, she went to Oxford, she had so much information and history at her fingertips, so much she could have shared about life as a student at Oxford, and she let it all slip away. Her viewers were waiting for her to share her experiences and she let everyone down. Time is out. Her stint at Oxford must be done by now and she used most of her video/vlogging energy directed to random sponsors, repetitive routines or information, taking selfies in a lift and buying coffee. Nothing really Oxford exclusive. What a waste of time and energy. I'm not interested in her reading to us, twirling in fields, having tea parties, hanging out with her best friend as an excuse to make content, or rambling on about productivity. I don't care about her grades or her whining about how hard she found it there, or how much she loved it there, when she didn't share the process. It isn't going to change my life in any way. Even if she learned how to drive at her age, it seems so blase. In the US we are driving in our teens. I'm not interested in her bragging or her entitled behaviour. I don't want to see what she is drinking or eating or care how many books she did or didn't read this year or what she got for her birthday or Christmas. I don't really see how she is going to keep followers interested in her content at this point. Acting younger is going to be so cringe, her pretending, her travels with little reflection, her messy bedroom are just such major turnoffs to me that I doubt I will be watching much anymore. There are so many better YouTubers out there with decent content and excellent editing skills that make their videos a joy to watch and inspirational. She had a momentous opportunity to share life, struggles and studying subjects with everyone and she threw it all away.

She thought she could get a first in her degree AND squeeze dry the Oxford content...ended up being able to do neither lol.

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this but do we know when she'll get her grade(s) back?

I used to go to coffee shops when I had group projects, because you can't really talk to each other and collaborate in libraries.

I must really be missing Roobee, because she immediately sprang to mind this morning when I read this passage in Middlemarch

None of you guys organized your group work sessions in your own flats? Like it was common for us to do that, that way everyone bring something to snack and during the weekend it was also an occasion to share a homemade lunch together, even cooking it together.

This is in Italy or similar isn’t it honey? Any student flat I went into was covered in old pizza boxes and ketamine 🤒 🍕 sounds lovely though

We all lived pretty far from each other with some of us commuting from neighboring towns. I didn't study in a university city where everything is close by, I studied in Milan. It would not have been fair to meet at one house and force everyone else to cross the city on a weekend or in the evenings to get there, not to mention most uni students from out of town don't even have their own vehicle. So we just met at coffee shops in the city center or near the uni so it was easier for everyone to get there.
Also most of the people I did group projects with were only course mates I didn't know that well or at all if the groups were randomly assigned. It would have been weird to invite strangers to your house.

Telling off on my age here but with most group projects I got stuck with we either sat on Zoom or rented a timeslot for a study room on campus

it’s 3 in the morning and my genuine reaction to this series of images of ruby in stratford upon avon was “what the duck is going on”

If that’s Ruby’s why has she written her name is Holly, and if it isn’t why on earth has she posted that on her story? Surely it isn’t hers because it looks like a 10 year old did it. Absolutely bizarre to post that on her story after showing her using the quill, i.e. the obvious implication being that it’s hers.

Also her fingers, wrists and arms look very puffy. Is that fluid retention or something?

This is so annoying. You're allowed to change your mind about things! No one is going to call her out for being a fake fan of skirts because she used to wear jeans. You can discover a new interest without retconning that you've actually been obsessed with it since you were 4.
THIS. Anything Ruby clutches on to somehow has to become a part of her identity since she was able to speak. At this point she has more lies than thoughts in her head.

Dying at 'fake fan of skirts' 😂💀

It’s actually wild what she’s has posted in her year at Oxford. You see other people posting and they are always overachievers etc…non of this dark academia stuff she goes on about

she could literally have done this stuff without attending…it’s what’s insta is for
