I agree. I am sure everyone has to pick what they feel most comfortable with, but hers are so massive on her face, too heavy, and she is forever pushing them up as they are sliding down below her nose and cheekbones. She looks like a frog that just emerged from the mud with bulbous eyes staring out at the world in utter confusion. So, I guess they are fitting for her personality?

I just started watching and had to turn it off as my partner came in and sat down and was looking at the tv and back at me thinking I’d finally lost it by watching this odd woman spoon blue porridge into a teacup-
Obviously I’ve always found Ruby strange- but this video made me feel quiet uncomfortable and I only got a few minutes in- pretty worrying

Yeah I don’t think we need to worry about Martha Also her little car tour was the most personable and interesting bit in the whole video.

Not Roobee claiming she was being told in comments that letters weren’t real literature when she shared her dissertation topic in undergrad I don’t think I saw a single comment back then that wasn’t fawning, or at the most providing their own insights and ideas. But nooooo, everyone was telling her her topic was shit, essentially bullying her into silence this time around It’s pretty telling that she circles back to all the reasons why she hasn’t shared it over and over again in the video. She knows that she’s cobbled together 10k words’ worth of random quotes about garrls who wrote things on paper in the 17th century, fear of growing up, and fucking marigolds.

Cut to Ruby getting paid £1 for blasting a few weeds with a hose in the family garden for 5 minutes, which she'll magically stretch to a 7 hour task in vlogs. Her dad will somehow write this off on their taxes for a £700 rebate.

That was already obvious. Ruby doesn't have any other friends that she's nearly as close to. You're also forgetting that Ruby often leaves out the fact that mommy bones goes on many of her supposed 'solo' trips and it's very possible that Blakeney and Ruby shared a bed while Ruby's mother had the other to herself. Even if they shared the bed for no other reason than because they wanted to it's also quite common for female friends who are affectionate to share a bed especially if it's larger than a twin because some people find it comforting to sleep next to someone else.

I really think we're all stretching this "oh ruby can't go anywhere without mummy" thing. People were seeing phantoms of her on the Paris trip (still really do not believe she was there).

We know Ruby is hopelessly sloppy with her content and editing. Like this is a fact. Gossip_guy has, over threads, detailed how she mixes timelines to make herself seem more busy than she is. She claims to be such a germaphobe, but doesn't bother to move the dead fly that's been languishing on her window sill for months, or the dirty dishes that are in shot. She claims to love studying, but moves from library to library and doesn't seem to get much done.

There are other influencers who lie like this (almost all of them, in fact), and believe me, they cover their tracks. If they want you to think something about themselves, they are meticulous on making sure it all lines up. They don't get called out by their own content, they get called out by people checking sunrise times for their locale, and tracking down products they claim to have reclaimed from rubbish.

I just don't think that Ruby has the attention to detail to pull something like that off for a trip like that.

Quite frankly, this is moving from the world of interpretation to the world of headcanon.

I don't understand why she didn't go to Paris at the beginning of the Easter holidays instead of choosing to go the week before Trinity Term started as everything she did felt rushed and not very carefully planned out as she didn't book her meal at the Ritz until Monday which she went to the following day, she didn't see all of the paintings that she wanted to see at the Louvre and I don't think she visited all the places that she had planned to as she spent more time in coffee shops and bookshops rather than visiting famous Paris landmarks. I don't know how she had the time to put this trip in the week before term started because if it had been me I would have focused on researching and writing my dissertation instead of going on holiday.

I think it's the resurgence of early 2000s culture in general! I work with teenagers and they're all watching Bring It On, 10 Things I Hate About You, etc and wearing millennial outfits, loving the whole preppy aesthetic, etc

I assume it's a similar interest to what people in the 70s had for the 50s, or the 80s and 90s had for the 60s (revival of the mod aesthetic in the 80s and then the psychedelia in the 90s).

Watching the new video, I have a suspicion that Ruby has dicovered Liziqi (or another Liziqi-inspired youtuber) and has decided to suck her style up into her frankenstein personality. But of course, Ruby's life is just a purgatory of middle-class boredom, and Ruby herself being as lazy and uncreative as a sow, so it just doesn't hit the same.

Also, her monologues are giving major chatbot vibes. I'm willing to bet that's because she used a chatbot to write them.

Also, around the 7:40 mark, the camera pans up from it's position on the grass as Ruby walks away. Does that mean Clarice is laying on the wet ground filming Ruby?

I'm always surprised in the choices Ruby has made with her social media content, or lack thereof. For someone who loves to study and read, so, so much, I find it strange that she never joined up with actual online group readathons and only did her own, reading mostly children's books; never got on the annotating bandwagon, which is so big among the cottagecore bookish community; in spite of having tons of money, never did much in the way of interesting book hauls; chose to create her own ugly planner, but never got into actual journaling and collecting of stickers, ephemera and proper scrapbooking. These are all popular themes on YouTube, TikTok and Insta, with large followings of mostly girls in their late teens and early 20's. I assume she has no artistic qualities for such hobbies, because now she is late to the game and seems to have no real interests of any kind. I always find snooping around her Pinterest to be very interesting. Right now she is posting more fashion, which she still hasn't grasped, and has created a new board called 'Beautiful Melancholy", which is basically a bunch of pictures of sulking teenagers. Really strange and depressing. Is this her new vibe? It certainly fits all her latest vlogs. I've also noticed her Pinterest boards and in her life, everyone is usually blonde, blue or hazel eyed, and fair complexion. Considering the variety of people in the world and of the students at Oxford, is she a racist? I have never seen her with any friends of colour or various ethnic backgrounds. She seems to only even attempt to friend people of a very western persuasion. I'm sure you get my meaning.

Actually, and god it's weird that I know this, in she shot after the one in her room at the beginning, that's not a Chiltern Railways train (the operator on the Oxford Marylebone line) it's a GWR train (Chiltern doesn't have the window blind which you can see the runners for, GWR does). So, she went into Paddington, which is what I would have expected anyway. The service into Marylebone is pants for onward connections because it's not an underground station.

It'll never stop being hilarious that Ruby keeps performatively yammering and lie-squinting about her STROGGLES WITH PARFACKSHONISM while screwing up everything at every opportunity with zero effort to double-check whatever mess she's making or gibberish she's talking.

Another pointless video in which she hawks a sponsor service she never uses, films a bunch of strangers without consent and sheds no real insight into what she writes, how she writes or why she enjoys it. As usual, since the bulk of her writing process is ripping off other authors, she can't show any of her real process, so she just pads with Googled quotes from successful authors whose work she never reads and brags about her VARRY PRODOCTIVE fictional day that's all smoke and mirrors.

Her finger-wagging her way through a video about much she JANUINELY loves writing and how we should all learn to write for ourselves and not for the goal of success/praise when she's spent the past few years very cynically and calculatedly cannibalising other books to try to shortcut her way to the goal of a big, easy traditional publishing deal... It doesn't exactly make her supposed JANUINE LOFF OF WROYTING seem any more honest, especially considering she yet again refuses to shed any light on why she's so fixated on that big publishing deal she'll never get instead of just self-publishing.

Very much feels like she was waiting to get a sponsor for this video, I was expecting a Nord VPN one to come up with how Ruby uses her iPad in public. A undisclosed adverts from things that she's advertised in the past, Casetify and Notion as well, and also the ReMarkable product which she was gifted. Backmarket as well. I feel that she was waiting for a sponsor from Castify or motion with the amount of focus she had on them during the video.
