Yeah, don't agree with that. What some random people put on the internet should not be meant to influence others. Watching youtube is not an excuse to stop thinking. (And I think Ruby doesn't use the term influencer to describe herself.)
I agree that working 10+ hours a day and presenting that as the norm is problematic. Or eating ridiculously small portions of food - basically anything that's promoting behaviour that could be physically or mentally harmful. But being a morning person, really? If she was sacrificing sleep in order to work, sure, but she does not. It's not like she said that you can only be productive if you get up early, you're reading too much between the lines here.
Pretty sure that not being able to sleep was an exception though? You're mixing up the concept of the biological clock (that only Ruby herself can know about) with your own socially constructed expectation of when a person her age should go to bed.
I don't wanna seem like I'd take a bullet for Ruby but sleep shaming her seems a bit petty.
I agree with almost all of this, but I would point out that the not being able to sleep is definitely not a one time thing. She's definitely talked about being an insomniac in the past, and I vividly remember her doing a video about "how to be productive after getting no sleep", because that was one of her most problematic in terms of promoting an unhealthy lifestyle (she literally did not sleep, and then went on about how you can still be productive and it doesn't really matter). There's absolutely nothing wrong with going to bed when she does, assuming it does work for her, but my instinct is that it really doesn't. Going to bed at 9:30 and only falling asleep at 5am is really seriously bad, and I get the sense that she doesn't really take her sleep issues as seriously as she should, and just passes them off as being not a big deal, or a way of getting more out of the day.
But yeah, there's nothing fundamentally wrong with going to bed at that time - I get the argument that during normal times the evening is generally the most common time for students to socialise, but it's not like she's missing out on much right now, so why not!
