I'm kinda bored so here's a compilation of some of the most atrocious best outfits proudly wore by Roobee through the years, also some pieces of the well known collection "I never wear denims, I don't like that". I note that Ruby goes from the boarding schoolgirl to the grandma with sometimes a more 80/90s mom look ( that one is too rare sadly) inspiration. The one where she seems to pretend playing tennis is rather nice tbh, just like the one with the orange and cream striped tshirt. The coral jacket with a floral skirt would be if not wore with birkenstock, wich look like grandpas sandals ( I said what I said, sorry birkenstock fans, these are like the Ugg boots, overrated.)

I didn't include the black tube dress as it's probably not Ruby's choice.

Now I hesitate about making a compilation for mommy granger and daddy bones, it's not everyday you see an older Sirius Black.

You can see the sharp decline in her outfits. She looked so much better when she didn't cosplay Anne of Green Gables everyday

i didn't think of that! mostly because for me drive is ... drive, something you do and I forgot that Google Drive exists or that a "drive" is a piece of hardware. But with Ruby, you never know. 😆 I can totally see her doing thing on her journey to work. Like a politician, sitting in the back of a big car while being driven around
Lol yes, I can picture Ruby doing that too. Who knows what she meant. She's been very secretive about this job. I don't understand why she didn't just say 'I'm going into school for x number of days to get experience working as a teaching assistant. I help the teacher by doing xyz.' That kind of info doesn't compromise privacy or create any safeguarding issues.

Congrats on your job btw! That's great news. 🥳

And this is far from the first time Ruby has confused pink with red, or shown that she thinks all colours are pink.

She spent a big chunk of a vlog insisting that a dark red pot was pink (while Blakeney corrected her several times, which she ignored) and the other day she was claiming her beige cardigan was pink.
True! Yeah, yet another example of the red/pink confusion. That Blakeney interaction was infuriating, the way Roob kept insisting.
Was the beige cardigan the Valentines vid? Because when she put it on and said 'im wearing pink for valentines day' I was thinking 'that is not pink'.
But she'll insist. Because 'obviously!' Ugh. She's insufferable.

I'm in my early 30s and I still love stationery and still collect nice notebooks, notepads etc. I don't see anything wrong with it. None of the things Ruby likes is problematic on their own, it's the way she approaches this stuff and turns them into her entire identity and uses them as a way to put a wall between herself and the real world. If she likes stationery because it gives her pleasure to take note with pretty or expensive pens or notepads, so be it. But the way she buys and keeps this amount of stuff and never even touches a single one in a useful way is quite irritating, it's almost like a safety blanket. She has an issue with hoarding, she also showed it with that massive pile of childhood and teenager clothes she kept in the landing area wardrobes (why is this even a thing). I think not being able to declutter or throw away/donate useless thing is a major problem in their entire household. Her mother gives me the vibe that she finds all this mess 'quirky' and 'full of character'.
I agree with this, but have even more thoughts on it. I also collect stationary, pens, markers, stickers, planners, washi tape, etc.. But I have no need to take a picture of them or show them off to anyone. Now, if I had a crafting or planner YouTube channel or social media of sorts, it would fit in quite nicely and make sense. They show what they have, how they store it, which ones they recommend or which ones they don't care for and why. I've watched and enjoyed a lot of these kind of videos. But that is their niche. It isn't hers. She hasn't got one anymore. She isn't a study tuber. She isn't a book tuber. She isn't a planner/crafter/adult colouring booker either. She isn't what I consider cottage core or dark or light academia or anything, really. She isn't a fashionista or beauty guru. She doesn't fit in any category. Just some weird adult woman showing off the things she keeps in drawers which, yes, is what young pre-teens do. Not post grads who ought to be busy in the working world, too busy to be showing off their desk and bedroom at their parent's rented part of a house like an 11 year old. And yes, her mother definitely feeds this behavior and that just makes this whole family all the more cringe to me. Like I said in a previous post, this is so much like my cousin's situation, only now she is 50, 1 parent dead, 1 in a nursing home. And she has nothing, no job, no friends, no spouse, not even a college degree. She acts just like Ruby and it is bizarre beyond belief. It certainly won't end well for her. And it won't end well for Ruby either. Her parents are not doing her any favours.

She’s posted an Instagram video about feeling free whilst “solo studying”

Classic Roobz, an undeclared shot of her planner looking very cheap and a pretentious clip of her “learning” Latin. Which she’s apparently wanted to learn “for half of her life”. Pass the bucket.
Shame she couldn’t have planned to learn it sooner with her Ponkin Planner.

It looks like the towel is trying to eat her
No wonder she's scared to be home alone.

I hate questions like this because it’s so context specific and just shows how immature and isolate Ruby is. I like snow, but only because I can work from home, I can heat my house (for now …) and I’m not relying on a bus, a carer or a medication delivery. I like rain but less so when I’m waiting for a bus in it, or when I need to dry laundry or deal with a leaky roof. I like sun but I can afford a fan, I’m not walking to work in it or working in a kitchen or cafe, and so on and so on. Any weather is lovely when you can just sit in a bedroom and look out of a window at it, but living and working in different types of weather makes it hard to talk about ‘favourites’.
True. I like misty weather, but it's terrible if you need to drive anywhere. Aside from that, this sort of question is just repetitive and uninteresting. How many times has Ruby asked about favourite season, favourite month or favourite weather?? Does she not have anything more exciting to talk about? Even 'quick recipes for when you're tired and busy' is better than this. I know it's been done loads by other YouTubers, but it still might be useful to someone.

Remember when she called Sun Tzu, 'sun shway'? I think it was something like that...She got the name confused with Feng Shui

has anyone seen @/lady_of_the_mercians tiktok video responding to being called the “ruby granger of history”? it’s an excellent takedown of her videos. i also saw her in ruby’s comments questioning her on miss patina but of course there was no response lol
Just wanted to thank you for pointing out this tiktok. It was an excellent takedown indeed. 🤣 I did see her comments about Miss Patina being unethical etc, with no response as yet from The Roobinator

I mean it all depends. A good cleanser, moisturiser and products you need from a dermatologist and you can’t go wrong but we’re increasingly being sold the lie that we need a 10 step routine and 5+ expensive products. At the end of the day skincare is an industry that preys on insecurities and want us to become repeat buyers. 90% of the skincare women buy is absolutely unnecessary and is essentially a placebo but it’s a nice luxury.

On another note, she’s absolutely lying at the beginning of the video where she says she watches YouTube every night for hours and THEN reads until way into the night. She definitely hasn’t picked up a book in weeks.
Oh absolutely as long as you have a good cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen you should be good to go but if skincare is a placebo to Ruby then she shouldn't do it? It's just like her not like other girls energy like her wearing makeup

I think the little brat is talking about on the colour wheel. But actually red is opposite to green.

She's doing a valentines day promotion for buy one get one free for her planners, it just feels so desperate. Who would want to give their loved one a planner for valentines day? Also, her website is so out of date, she's still nineteen and studying Theology at uni, shouldn't she have changed that by now or kept it up to date or have staff who do it for her?
what a romantic gift ... a planner that falls apart.

"you can still get one while you can" meaning ...? while they are so cheap or while they are available? while they don't fall apart? while you can afford the lower price?

Have we actually seen her ski? I mean, move across the snow in any manner besides still posing? Since her family is always filming for her, how come we haven't seen her going down a slope? Is this just another cosplay for her, another pretend identity? Because, when you think of how clumsy she is when she does gymnastics and how stiff she walks, I can't quite see her as being adept on skis, and skiing is pretty risky. I would like to see her hitting the slopes and see how she manages, tbh.
Good point. So far she has made sure to re-create a vintage ski poster, POV looking down from the lift (which honestly could've been anyone's skis) and mentioning in a comment that its been 8 years since she has been skiing. She also mentioned that she lost control and knocked into some people lol. My honest opinion is that she can not ski at all. Just like her ballet, gymnastics and surfing. Its all performative, photo-ops.

It's says so much about Ruby that when she 'wants' to learn something she only goes to books. There are so many incredible teachers of Latin out there and she just ignores them. An one-on-one course would give her that bit of socializing she is missing and she could even be friends with the teacher (though for Ruby friendship is about stalking, so better not...). Even video courses would be much more useful than just making flashcards.
---
Also, don't you have to put a coat of varnish in top of the paint? If she only used paint the cleaning supplies would end ruining the paint, isn't? Not like Ruby will clean it within the next decade, anyway 🤷.

Regarding that TikTok, her fans are defending her saying that she's changed, but her whole brand is literally PUMPKIN PRODUCTIVITY. She sells planners and bases her entire personality on a bunch of routines and how much she does and reads in a day. Her latest video is about how she read 17 books in a month while supposedly balancing a job. The only reason why she suddenly started talking about the toxicity of hustle culture and grades is because she wasn't doing much after she graduated. It made her feel better about herself. I guarantee that if she gets accepted to Oxford, she'll make "17 hour study day at Oxford" videos. Plus, the fact that she never shows her whole personality. It went from Harry Potter, to Cottage Core, to Dark Academia, to Emily Dickinson, and now part-time teacher. And every time it's just marketing for whatever she's selling/promoting.
Exactly. She's still all about toxic productivity.
I've noticed she's dabbling in Ballet Core lately:

something that never sat right with me is how Ruby got AAA* in her a levels. Don't get me wrong, these are perfectly respectful results but I remember back in 2020 when I first started watching her videos for study motivation (didn't work lol) I thought studying 7hrs a day was the only acceptable option. Cut to 7 months later and with *ESSENCE* of being a chronic procrastinator, I ended up with 2A 1B on As results after cramming the night before the exam lol. And it always made me wonder back than how someone like her who was pushing through 10hrs of study-days could end up with similar results like mine.

context- I have physics, biology and maths as my A level subjects :)
