I just went and read the free sample of Erimentha Parker on amazon because I thought from those quotes that @LostGhosts is posting Ruby must be a My Immortal level troll but no. Those really are direct quotes from the book. I'm speechless.
It's also painfully autobiographical. Extremely cringe making.

The fact that she goes for a run in the, what, 20/30 minutes it takes for a cake to bake shows that her idea of a run is essentially a skip to the end of the garden and back. Though it does make a lot of sense now why half the things she makes come out burnt.
That's enough time to run a 5k (or a slower 4k) though, which is standard imo? Although agree with the burnt thing - bit odd to go for a run on a tight timelimit lol

I'm not sure if it would be worth for Gossip Guy to watch and give us their thoughts on this masterpiece?

Enjoy!

Randolph has been posting weird-ass tiktoks in an attempt to seem quirky or feign having a personality idk… and maybe I’m just sleep-deprived but this made me laugh 🤣

I think these kind of videos from her are ridiculous and I can never take them seriously. For her, reading a book means opening it up, taking a picture for social media, reading the back and adding it to the pile of umpteen books she supposedly got through that month. Then she pats herself on the back because absolutely no one else will do it for her. If Oxford, or anyone else, sees her videos, she will look like a fool. Let's take the Monstrous Child, for an example. She doesn't even mention how clever this work is; a retelling of the Norse Myths through the eyes of Hel, with a fun twist at the end. I thought it was ingenious, but then again, I've read Norse Mythology in detail and apparently she hasn't a clue about it. She likes the "villain" and the "time". That was it. No details about Hel's complicated relationship with the other Gods, especially her parents, or how Ragnarok played out. She had nothing worthy to say, even for a childrens/YA book. So much for her expertise even in this category. The majority of these books are quick reads, but, as usual, in her quest to read as much as possible, she understands less than 75% of each work and retains zero.

Also I dont know what do you think but I feel like it is a little bit rude to ask someone else to watch your cake. It totally fine if you need to do something necessary/urgent like using bathroom, clean something that spilled, care for young children etc. But going for a run??? I mean you habe all the time in the world, respect other peoples time as well even if theyre mom, dad or siblings theyre not our servant elves...
If it were someone else Id assume the offer of help came from the family but knowing Rubys selfishness, I think its the other way around

I suspect Ruby might be a little better at playing the game than Jack. I think that whole Emily Dickinson museum trip to the US was purely set up as content for her course application in an aim to tick the "passion" box.

Of course, if she referenced Erimentha like she must have in her first application, then game over.
But what good did that trip do? I mean, she received a private tour, gave them ideas for their social media, which I doubt they changed at all, and sat at a desk in Emily's room to write. How does this make an impression of any kind? Is she planning to do her Masters on something related to American authors? Because she didn't tour The Olde Manse, Emerson's House or Longfellow's estate. I have never heard her mention reading the works of Wharton, Thoreau, Emerson, Willa Cather, and so many others. Has she ever read any of Poe's stories, or just The Raven? There is so much more to him than that one poem. Has she taken the time to study the Transcendentalists? She completely wasted this year off. I mean, Emily Dickinson had nothing to do with children's literature. So I continue to see a lack of focus and expertise in any literary discipline. She is all over the place and literally nowhere. Regardless of whether she gets in or not, she still hasn't much to show for it and hasn't prepared herself very well. An entire year off could have led her to amazing studies, but instead she is part-timing it at a local school teaching young kids, which she isn't even into, failed in her writing books, which we all expected, and living at home with Mommy and Daddy, reading children's books, dressing up and doing outfits of the day. Wow. Great Oxford material.

I was thinking of having to get changed, stretching etc included within that time which would probably cut it down to a 10 minute run? Or maybe I just take a long time to gear up haha

Well many people have mentioned it’s quite easy to get accepted for masters at oxford. Even easier if you choose less popular course.
I mean, you can adjust the odds a bit by being strategic about your choice, sure, but I'd expect that you'd still have to demonstrate at least some critical thinking skills, and whatever she's put out there these past few months has been just painfully embarrassing 😬

Ok, the home cafe a la Ruby is really weird, even for her. I remember my cousin doing a similar thing where we had to sit around and to pretend to order and drink tea. My cousin was 3.

It's a startling regression, I find it odd that Mama and Papa Bones allow it to fly in their home. But maybe behind the scenes, things are not so harmonious in Bones Manor (thinking back to Mama Bone's obvious annoyance with Ruby on camera over the paintbrushes).
if she was like here's some of my favourite recipes for hot drinks to beat the winter blues and then did something like my favourite is this, Marfa's favourite is this and whatnot it would be less like cosplaying a waitress

Her "OBVIOUSLY" regarding magenta/green-gate is so patronising and arrogant. I feel like Roobee has a lot of anger and resentment in her. Just bubbling under the surface. I just get those vibes from her.
She’s a bellend, it’s a crap description and not obvious at all. Don’t get why she’s acting like people who are questioning it are somehow too thick to get it either? Magenta green indeed.

I love how she made sure to include a lot of content with Lola in her new video (the dog actually running towards her instead away from her!). Also how much she does for her family, like making them hot drinks and baking cookies for Marfa.
It just seems like she desperatly wants to show what a good daughter she is and how is really is doing ackshully jenuinleeeey a lot at waaahrk around the house and for her parents, totally justifying just hanging around there for a year without getting a job or doing anything remotely useful.

Also ffs, if your chair looks broken and disgusting just DONT SHOW IT instead of covering it with your hand and commenting weirdly on it. This is your own YT-vid, you can choose what you wanna show.
Also the extended sequence of her rambling about she sends syoooo manny gifts tyoo awhll her frannds. She's so selfless and kind-hearted and she's JANUINELY not just a real-life Dudley Dursley.

Just don't mention the 3-4 undeclared ads in her VARRY SALFLASS family breakfast montage, that's ONFORGIVABOL BOLLYING.

@joonielovers (cute name btw!) just saw your post on the last thread, thought I might have some study tips that could help!! :)

Don't worry too much if you can't do a lot at a time. I've never been able to revise for more than 4 1/2 hours a day, that is my total limit, and I still get good grades. When I get stuck and feel a bit tired honestly just getting up and going to the bathroom wakes me up a little. Anyway for studying I actually love putting on ambiance playlists on YouTube! You can get ones for specific environments, like cosy cafes or the Hogwarts common rooms, or videos that are meant to mimic a "study with me" video with clips of Rory Gilmore, BTS, etc. It sounds silly but I think these make studying much more fun :) I also think it can help to switch studying "activities", like go from flashcards to writing everything you remember on a page to drawing a mindmap or something like that! For me a study timer helps to motivate me as well, I use the app "FLIP" and you can see your studying progress per day, week and month :) Lastly I find it wayyy easier to study in the uni library than to study at home since there's less distractions and every else is there to study, so maybe try that too. Best of luck for your studies, you got this!!

I think the little brat is talking about on the colour wheel. But actually red is opposite to green.
She doesn't understand that if one has to explain their imaginative language, it hasn't worked. Its not creative, its just plain stupid lol
This has sent me into orbit 😭😭😭😭

Being real tho, it must be exhausting pretending to be productive. That is, pretending to the point that productivity is your ACTUAL brand. Especially if one has an anxious disposition and other mental health struggles. I know I definitely couldn't keep up the pretending for more than maybe a couple of weeks. I've noticed she has started saying 'I hope you have a more than productive week'. Doubling down on the grind.
